I'm the Lead Creative Director for this game codenamed Rosa et Regina. It's a BL Drag Queen romantic dating sim. With a calm aesthetic to it.

***What is the story about?***

Adel's life is falling apart, his wife passed away by chronic illness, his child left for college overseas, and his previous workplace got permanently closed. With no other choice, he decided to work inside a gay bar; they were nice enough to accept him for the position. Adel hadn't really explored anything with men yet, but he briefly brushes it off. Until the club began their performance hour, he went and met six of the most eccentric and friendly drag queens he had ever met. Should Adel explore this side of his sexuality and meet these queens out of drag and hang out with each other?

I'm looking for someone who had been in Drag Queen shows , had seen some online, or had seen RuPaul's Drag Race.

The story also deals with some pretty sad topics.

I'm looking for a Ren'Py programmer, which is a Visual Novel programming software that uses Python.

The Visual Novel's art style is reminiscent of anime or a blend of colored comic/manga/manhwa/manhua.

I would like to give my honest review of every route I have experienced. And ranking them.

(SPOILERS)




















HM: KEVIN-ANA JONES
Kevin had it rough in the story, and, I always thought about what wonders you guys are planning with Kevin's story fitting for the main plot of the game. Speaking of, it would be quite unfair to rank him on the list due to his route being in the works. But what's interesting is if your affection points for Kevin are 10 or lower while going onto Jacob's route, you can see a glimpse of what Kevin's route will be. And I actually can't wait to see what hidden things you guys are showing out of him from being temporarily reclusive to the whole game.

3RD GABRIEL RIZZLER

I might get a lot of hate for this, but, I just didn't enjoy Gabriel's route as much as the rest. Gabriel is a charming but very fanservice-y-esque character that I sometimes could not stand, but luckily, his route was not that bad. It follows deep into the struggles of having a high position and how easy it is for it to fall into calamity. As for Jorge's development, he gets more of his wife material the more you progress, which is understandable considering he'll mainly have to force Gabriel to eat with him to lead him into balancing lifestyle. And the addition of his ex, actually makes me realize how comforting Gabriel is. Ivaan's inclusion was also clever in a way, and also a very lighthearted way to conclude their relationship in a platonic way. 

2ND LITTLE JACOB

Let's just say I have a lot to say about his character, he's a very controversial character in my book. But the development hits so hard in his route, that it's difficult to even put him where he belongs. He's the... Persona 4 of the group, if you know what I mean. Jacob's route was spicy, dramatic, rough, and overall one of the core themes of the game. Jacob is essentially a heartbroken man, a man that Jorge broke deeply and regretfully. When their relationship concluded, I almost cried because of how emotionally invested I was in the story. Other than that, if you want Jorge to be a better person in the end, go and play Jacob's route, I'm not joking, I find playing his route to give him better development than the rest. And the conclusion of Kevin's relationship with Jorge to a platonic one was amazing. Unfortunately, I find his route conclusion in the main story quite rushed and mediocre, as they would have to do a video project on how important the exports team is, the concept is great, but I feel like the conclusion of that doesn't do it justice.

1ST IVAAN AGARWAL 💜

But what made me confident say made my eyes sober was none other than Ivaan's route. Ivaan's route is just a mess, only THOSE gay people can understand how it feels like having to be in a DL relationship, and it's not even funny. As their relationship suggests, Ivaan is Jorge's first serious relationship, and they don't mess with that concept at all, many moments just made me in awe and gloom. Gabriel's the one getting a conclusion of a platonic relationship with his route, and, as far as I'm aware, I don't mind it. Jorge's development, although not as good as in Jacob's route, also kind of gets to see his karma for leaving him and many others. Ivaan's route leaves me with emotions no other routes could give, and I can confidently say that Ivaan's route is one of the best routes in the game!

Also, to answer my previous critique, I meant it needs MORE CG, like just Jorge and the lover of choice hanging out, to fill the void for the censored ver. of the game. I must've accidentally written it that way, my bad. But it is in Early Access.

I think this game has so much potential.

(SPOILERS FOR PEOPLE WHO HADN'T PLAYED OR WATCHED ANY PLAYTHROUGHS)

I think its one of those VN that really stood out more than the rest. Because not only do the given characters develop, but so does the main character. 

I truly feel like the game made me feel invested in the story despite its lack of CG (well... its in early access, what did I expect).

But I fear about one thing that might ruin this game, keep in mind, it may be just my opinion, I will still like this game regardless, so don't take this with a grain of salt, but I feel like having a poly route between Jacob and Gabriel might ruin the game. Because:

1. Jacob's route is perfect, despite having a problematic scene (*cough*-the locker room scene-*cough*). I feel like having a poly route with Jacob will actually ruin some highlights on what makes his character shine. Jacob's route is wild, and it not only focuses on his jealousy towards Jorge, but also the development of Jorge himself, and the moment where Jorge confesses that he didn't feel like he apologized to Jacob enough was one of the most emotional moments in the game. 
2. Gabriel's route is my least favorite, but I don't hate it. It still holds a deep dive of holding a high job position. But I feel, again, having a poly route with him may ruin some highlights of his character more. In the end, he confesses that he felt envious of his exes, (Yeah, you could really tell by how good he was hiding it.) and realized he really needs a relationship, and it's with Jorge, which I think is the only emotional moment I could get out of his route.
3. In fact, I think if done incorrectly, it will actually be a terrible influence on Jorge. By then, the game will just be taken out by lust. Well, it is an 18+ game, but I feel like being for mature audience doesn't excuse terrible writing or plots.
4. I just don't think there was any chemistry going on with Jacob and Gabriel for me to agree if a poly route is suitable or not.

Also, despite Ivaan hating alcohol. He is seen holding a glass of champagne in his good ending. Maybe he's drinking chrysanthemum tea, ginger ale, I don't know?

This is not what I think the game will be, but more so on what I'm afraid if the game took into a more fanservice route. So whatever happens to the game, I'm not going to hate it, it still has it's strong points.

Other than that, I have high hopes for Kevin's route based on the lunch time and hang outs, and some interactions from Jacob's route. So keep it going~
