This is the second submission where I've felt super nostalgic for an era of gaming that was part of my childhood. Tip That Kayak sounded like a track I'd hear at the arcade and I have no clue how to produce this kind of sound so it's really impressive to me that you were able to capture that sound authentically. The song Triquetra is definitely my favorite and I hope to see you next year for another jam!!
Definitely one of my favorite submissions in this jam. I was wondering what program you used to make the 3D art since I've been trying to learn low polyish modeling for a while now! The audio visualizer in the background is such a nice touch on top of the music being really great. Baring my heart out and helping an old hermit crab were my favorite :))
One of the most cohesive submissions I’ve heard so far. Great atmosphere/sound design on top of creating a story through the music to the point where you wouldn’t even have to read the song descriptions. Love the implementation of the motif you used from Uh Oh and using it again in RUN. The contrast of the flute and brass creates such a cool sound. Great work here :)
The harmonization with the violin and cello is absolutely fantastic in the first track. I started to think it wasn’t from a VST so I’m super surprised that it is. It was really easy to visualize the scenario for the second song because of how well the instrumentation is (also super curious what the 2nd art is supposed to be setting-wise, I was thinking it was seaweed lol it’s really pretty).
I heard some of the tracks in the devlog-chat but I had to comment on them again. Rhythmically every song is so fun especially Landscape 2-1 and Warehouse 1-2. The beginning of Landscape 2-1 reminds me a lot of Yoko Shimomura's work on Parasite Eve and Kingdom Hearts 2. I do wish that the bass was a little louder/more prominent in that song to give it that fullness but the sound choices/instrumentation are super creative. Overall this is great work :)
Hi I'm a big fan of you on Twitter :) This is the first time I've ever heard Musescore's library and I love it so much. Every instrument in each song is so crisp and the mixing is great. "Creation" and "Hidden in the Sea" reminded me a lot of Hitoshi Sakimoto's compositions in Final Fantasy XII, I hope you get more votes as the days go by!
