Fun game. Can't wait to see more. Is Lord Demoke foreshadowing something when he talks about writing a letter to his father? Will the people in town ever stop looking unhappy when I explore?

If calling off the mansion doesn't stop people from dying is there any reason not to believe that someone/everyone is likely to die at the beach vacation in the true end?

Edit: Nevermind, read the other comment about how Thanatos dying counts as "the death" that is required for fate to by filled. Guess that makes sense enough now.

Spoilers

Great Tyson Route update.

I always felt like his rescue scene was really messed up. I thought maybe it was just going to be brushed aside, so it was really cathartic to finally see him called out. Here's to a remorseful and reformed Tyson.

There's a bug during the prologue.

When you wake up in the morning after having the option to jerk off, if you attempt to go out naked first before going out with clothes on, it plays through the events of the previous day again (you go to the lumber yard/Silvatto's shop/Forge the shoulder armor.)

Contrary to the rest of the fan-base, I for one am Pro-Roswell, and Anti-Tyson (At least for the earlier half of the month).

As interesting as Tyson is becoming as a character if this was real life and the choice was to hang out with someone who's a bit of a shit stirrer vs someone who is aggressively confrontational, the Tysons would have me distancing myself from the friend group.

Roswell did try to give Tyson a chance. Second or third day, he tries to have a polite conversation with him and says something mildly offensive which makes Tyson fly off the handle.

Everyone deserves a second chance, but they have to actually be willing to own up to their mistakes. Tyson specifically makes a point of not apologizing for bullying them and refuses to until he's essentially forced into it. I get that he did what he had to to survive, but that doesn't stop him from acknowledging that he hurt people and trying to make amends with them. Not apologizing is 100% shitty behavior.

It seems Tyson's arc is about becoming a better person but for the first half of the month he was absolutely not there yet and I'd say Roswell's attitude towards him is justified 80% of the time.

Thanks for a great update, the new game mechanic is a pain on hell mode.

I'd love to see some of the characters we never got a "full view" of. Particularly Rufus from "Welcome to Grimshaft",  and the dad from "Rest Stop". The tax conscious bridge troll from "On the way to work" would also be a treat.

You should be able to scroll down.

I like to imagine there's a timeline where Oswin and Liam the bus driver hookup.

Firstly, great game. Catchy music, nice art and satisfying gameplay if you get a nice combo.

Anyway I found a weird glitch when I fight the librarian in gallery mode. After the match the background changes to the office and if I do a rematch I fight the accountant. (with the librarian coming back out after the fight.)

It's not really a big deal but I thought I'd mention it in case it causes further issues down the line

That's good to hear, I just think if you throw a few more witty insults around as jokes it would disguise the genuinely barbed remarks better.

Anyway whatever you choose to do I still like Roswell anyway.

**SPOILERS**

I was surprised so many people hate Roswell, though admittedly I'm a bit biased towards him because he's the one I find most aesthetically appealing. I decided to replay and see what issue was, and there were a few things I noticed:

On the first day he fires off one or two bants that don't really land. It feels like it's supposed to give off a playful teasing nature but no one really fires back or laughs with him so it appears a bit more one sided and mean spirited.

I feel like when he calls Tyson a puppy it should be played off as more banter, but the issue is after this he doesn't do any more bantering. So now whenever he insults Tyson it feels like he's specifically targeting him (which maybe he is, I think that's a reasonable character choice, but it makes him less likeable)

Then there's the conversation with him and Orlando just before choosing a partner. Here a few bants are fired at Roswell and he's got the frowny face on. In fact he's got a frowny face on for most of what should be a light hearted conversation. This kind of gives the impression he can dish it out but can't take it.

After that there's the whole thing with thinking Tyson is incapable of love. So he's prided himself as being a pretty scientifically minded individual. And he gives good reasoning to Dave in the kitchen. And I can see him throwing an offhand remark like "Yea if you're even capable of love." like mild banter. But when they're back in the dining room the way he kind of states it as a proven fact to Tyson's face that he's incapable of love without provocation. I feel like it goes against his character to jump to conclusions and make such hard definite statements. Definitely a bit over the top.

So to sum up: I think the way to make him more likeable is to spread out his snarky comments a bit more among the group, then for the group to retort in kind and for him to take it as good natured ribbing. That way when he makes remarks to Tyson they seem within character and not targeted. But you can still give his Tyson remarks a bit more a sting as compared to the others when the tension rises so it's reasonable when Tyson reacts negatively.

And as a side: I can maybe see after all this how bragging about being the smartest might rub some people the wrong way, and how it might come off as comes off as pretentious. Maybe change it to something like "Well intelligence is an immeasurable quality, so I can't say whether or not I'm the smartest, but I do think I'm the best suited for conducting research and mentally draining tasks." Or just leave him as pretentious, everyone needs flaws. (Or have Dave call him out and that can be part of his arc)

That's fair enough,  perhaps if time permits maybe consider a "Character Profiles" menu similar to the system in "After Class" where there is a separate menu where all the characters are listed which automatically updates as the player learns more about the character, with plain descriptions so you can be blatant without hindering the writing. Or maybe when it's all over and done with release a "directors cut" where you've taken out all the superfluous exposition.

I like the dialogue changes to the first five days in 0.17 but I feel that Dave's new internal monologue breaks the "show don't tell" rule of writing much more often. There's no need for exposition about the mansion we're going to hear about in a few minutes or how Dean is a perv when he's going to flirt with us in ten seconds time or how Roswell is a nerd etc. One of the strengths of 0.16 is how compact the writing is while still keeping the audience engaged, each scene was a little mini-mystery and each line of dialogue is a clue.
