The dithering on your engine is so nice I want to make babies with it.

This has such great potential! Loved the concept, had loads of fun. I think its totally worth giving some more time post jam for some extra game juice (impacts, knockback) and maybe consider try adding a charge mechanic for distance instead of mouse position ( this would make in gamepad compatible )
Keep working it, I had a blast.

We made SpellSpun with a Balatro / Yahtzee like flavor combines with slot machine spinners.
I have seen some slot machines, I have seen some spinning wheel but not a lot of "press your luck" Please help me and show me others of the kind that you have found:

You are totally right, i have two systems fightig each other. One makes sure each strand is possible the other is supposed to scale the odds.
I the scaler fails, it doesn't account for the deepening. I knew this when I launched but I figured it would only bother people who already enjoyed the experience enough.
I really should have added an end cap to the game I did not anticipate so any people would actually be grinding to the post game 😂
Thank you so much for breaking my game ❤️
I have added a quick mechanics explainer below the game. Did it work?
If any of ya would be kind enough to help me out of my vacuum and see if it makes sense with the game.

everything you mentioned are shaders. And you use them in everything now, webgl, godot, unity, aftereffects, figma. There are some amazing examples in the wild of amazing shaders, and most of the time som open-source code to get you going.
Glad you enjoyed the game, looking forward to what you do with that infectious enthusiasm.
