The game is very good! And because the gradients are random, it adds some replayability. Also the tutorial in the start is nice.

I'm hosting the Uni-Dimensional Game Jam, it's a very unusual theme i would say hahaha, but i think it'll be incredible, i'm very anxious to see the games that will be developed.1D is a very restrictive theme, so it'll require  the most of the participant's creativity!

No, it only needs to be represent as 1 pixel high. You can have a game with 100 pixels high,as long as all these pixels are equal, in this cenario the game would be made of chunks of 100x100 pixels.
