I find myself torn between thanking you for such kind words and apologizing!! You are right, it is a lot… One line in the noise jam description that kept bouncing around in my head was “Do a violence to your assets” and there is something of a violent quality to this noise, maybe the assets themselves weren’t supposed to do a violence though! XD

Please accept this virtual hug as compensation!! <3

Oh you are so sweet! I completely understand where you’re coming from, I am also susceptible to this curse at times. XD

I can only speak for myself, but this game definitely made me feel a type of existential anxiety about memory itself. I can “recall” many times I’ve found myself in a moment so perfect that I endeavored to commit every detail I could to memory and while this will sometimes partially work, most times I can only frustratingly recall that I tried to remember… something. I don’t know if this is a common affliction so maybe my takeaway is unique to me but this game is one of the closest to capturing the feeling of wrestling with those thoughts.

I didn’t mean for my comment to be a call out but I am glad if it helped you! Though, maybe I should say, from what I’ve played of your games so far, your games are wonderful and if it’s the result of you not taking yourself seriously then maybe seriousness isn’t needed? I don’t know lol, art is art, everyone’s process is different, I’m just excited see more of your work!

Thank you for playing, I’m so happy you enjoyed it!!

Such a fun concept, I kept getting surprised by the different dimensions! I got jumpscared by volcanoes, got a heartwarming message from some QRcubes, and walked in on my boss jorkin it… what more could you want in a game!

I’m glad that you enjoyed it! <3

Beautifully made and touchingly intimate. You really captured such a delicate feeling with this work. The fallibility of technology against the march of time can eerily match how our own minds falter. Seeing these images felt like witnessing half-rendered memories and makes me wish we could run a recovery program for our own silly heads. T^T

Oh I love how you switched the pov for this episode! It’s so cool to get to see the world through sepias eyes, there are so many detailed descriptions and insights!

Spoilers

I really enjoyed Sepias story, the start of it was so beautiful but very sad T^T and when she is struggling to integrate as a “worker” it feels like a reflection of so many different experiences (general queerness, neurodivergence, etc). Also it’s just wild to see Sepia in an office environment! I did not expect that for some reason, what a great twist!

Naughty times in a dentist chair is so good lol very hot I also love how quiet Aseroe tries to be during intimate moments, its so adorable!!

It was also great to sea Aseroe come out of their shell a bit. SO CUTE!!

I really enjoyed this one, thank you for sharing it!!

Oh Nettle, what a beautifully prickly boy, I love him so much XD

Spoilers

I forgot how intense the flashback is in this one, it really hints at some horror vibes with the vague descriptions of what happened to snow… It makes the slice of life setting feel like a bubble that could pop at any moment when Aseroe’s past catches up to them.

It was really fun to return to Aseroe and Sepia, there were several cgs that seemed new to me and I adored them (though maybe I just have a bad memory?). My favorite moment in this episode was the tentacle ink scene sooo good!!! 🫠 <3

These are soo cool!!! I also love how you categorized all of them this is just DRIPPING in style!

Oh thank you for these kind words!! It was definitely meant to read like a stream of consciousness, one of the ways I tried to infuse the theme of “noise” into the project, it also felt like how the unfiltered primal “lizard-brain” part of us thinks (or is that just me? lol). Your comments about the artsyle is sooo sweet too T^T

Thank you for playing Snek! I’m glad that it was able to evoke such concepts for you! <3

I really loved the visual presentation and music in this one, the navigable space is really evocative but I never felt lost or disoriented, the way the colors morph alongside the prose is also really cool. There is such a strong vibe here, like a warm hug in the middle of a hurricane lol (also remember to press “f” to fullscreen!)

The sentiments within this are beautifully written and resonated with me a lot, we live such short lives and while that is a tragedy it’s also something to celebrate and savor, every single second we can..

Oh you are so sweet! It means a lot coming from you, Zwei Club Mate bitte was such a wonderful experience, I’ve been thinking about it on a nearly daily basis since I’ve played it almost 3 weeks ago!

(so sorry for the late reply!)

Oh thank you! Yeah I agree, I certainly wouldn’t complain if I was in the MCs shoes lol. That’s one of my favorite cgs too ^-^ Thank you for playing! <3

Thank you so much, you are so sweet!! T^T

wet indeed! <3

I really enjoyed the surreal dream-like visuals and presentation, the choice of colors were amazing and the music really set the tone well.

Spoilers

That ending really got me good T^T

My interpretation of this story (which could be way off) is about the regrets of not spending enough time / attention with those you love, specifically in this context, the character’s pet cat. Each area / interactable felt like a representation of something that siphoned time and attention away from the cat. My own personal theories behind the visuals, all of which represent parts of our lives that take our time / attention:

The piano in the hedge maze could represent a hobby or profession The letter in the park could be a romantic interest that is no longer around The phone amongst the powerlines could be the internet and phone usage The notebook could be school / studies and a literal sea of homework

The ending with the cat was really powerful and made me teary-eyed, I’m going to go give my cat like 100 pets right now lol

Amazing work starbage, really inspiring!

This was very wild and very toxic, well done! I love how we only find out basic elements of Linette and Abigail’s life later on because Schwanhilde was obviously just not listening as usual lol The worldbuilding is really cool and I liked a lot of the backgrounds, the magic spells felt really snappy and powerful too, awesome stuff. My favorite of the endings was probably the “western gate” ending it felt so epic and was probably the closest thing to a “good” ending we’ll get lol but all of them were really entertaining and surprising, it really highlights how much effort was put into the story.

Thank you so much starbage! I was a little worried the writing style would add too much friction to the experience so I’m happy that it helped you savor it more! ^^

Thank you for playing mala!! I’m so glad that you liked it, your kind words already made it worth it!

This made my brain feel nice, the patterns and shapes were fun I’m not sure if the keyboard controls did anything but the mouse certainly did lol. I also liked the music a lot.

Beautiful and haunting. Every line of code, every word, every pixel feels utterly saturated in a ceaseless rage. Incredible work. A compelling and inspiring howl.

Very cute, funny and dark!

Spoilers

It’s wild to have actually played this after ommatophilia. These characters felt like they were meant to just be cute and quirky mean girls, but you did such a good job of providing them with so much depth, even down to the costume that Charlotte is wearing! Angel’s transformation at the end and the lore about how violence is used as a way to ascend. It’s just wild to see, I love it lol

I managed to get a good number of the endings I think but I’m missing one final CG so I might come back and play it some more later.

Beautiful story and art once again!

I loved the strange feeling of the facility, it’s got this sort of clinical, liminal, abandoned but not in a bad way kind of vibe, it’s really comfortable to me but there is always this uncanny feeling hanging in the air (like there were so many chairs in that introduction room, the entrance was all locked up, and it feels like every doorway leads into darkness!) That being said, having your own personal robot therapist 24/7 seems like a dream lol; I also really like how you turn that concept on its head a little and highlight the possibly dangerous features of AI that we’re already facing today. Eleanor’s character is really compelling and written in such a vulnerable way and the bunny visuals are perfect.

Loved this! The character art and designs are wonderful, I especially loved how the higher-plane entities are rendered in a different artstyle (and the staticky distortion effect whenever the Seraphim’s influences are present). Also I really appreciated the moments of humor in this one, the karaoke scene was a stand out moment for me and the calm scene afterwards sitting with blue is really nice too. The “Throne” area was so beautifully gross. I thought I was being clever by trying to translate that one persons name, but I laughed as they simply told me right after all that work lol. You really captured a lot of hard to describe feelings, like the liminal feeling right before a large transition in life, or the complex relationship one can have with their family when abuse is involved.

I didn’t know that you all were planning on continuing the story!! Ooh that’s exciting, I’m so curious to see how and what these characters grow into, as well as how they’re going to manage the sticky situation they’re in at the end.

Oh wow!! Thank you for such a beautifully written response! It’s like I got to experience the world again through your wonderful descriptions! I’m so glad that it had such an impact!

Oh thank you so much! I feel I should mention, most of what you hear is just the music by the amazingly skilled Wangleline! Her compositions are utterly fantastic so I’d recommend checking her work out if that’s your jam. (I listen often while working)

Thank you so much! I’m so happy that it had such an impact! T^T

(sorry this ended up really rambly) This was so damn good. There are so many moments that the feelings I felt just overflowed into tears, both in the tender memories we explore of Laurel’s past to the existential revelations that we experience later on, it’s incredible. I also adore what you did the the text colors, you communicated so much with such a simple effect, simply inspired.

I adore Nasia and Laurel so much, getting to know Nasia in the flashbacks really shows just how insanely she must have loved Laurel to do the the whole spirit transplant thing in the first place and Laurel’s whole backstory is so intriguing with her seemingly magical powers and the star.

The ethics of this whole situation are so beautifully messy, I feel like you really captured some realistic emotional struggles for such a fantastical premise, it’s all so thoughtfully considered.

Spoilers The journey that Darius goes on breaking down his toxic masculinity and becoming something else is so well written. While I haven’t personally gone through such a transition, (I find myself somewhere sort of undefined I guess?) seeing Laurel’s Journey mixed with what’s happening to Darius is just so so compelling. (roots of golden light, spreading through barren soil and churning it to life T^T one of like a hundred stand-out lines)

Holly/Hollow was such a tragic character, It feels like she was some kind of unexpected precipitate in this alchemical reaction that is entirely innocent while simultaneously earning (and deserving?) both the ire and love of Laurel and Nasia. So tragic. Even her attempts at the tiniest bit of autonomy (like changing her name to Hollow) ended up being reverted. I suppose she’s still happy to continue existing though, so I’ll try to be happy for her.

I also found how Laurel treated Holly/Hollow after the process was completed to be very interesting, it’s certainly hinted at earlier in the story, but this is like a whole nother level of dom/sub stuff that is absolutely wild to think about.

Also, how you described the final subsumption of Holly/Hollow by using the shadowy memory of Laurel’s death and the knife was so beautiful. There are so many beautifully written moments in this story though, GAAAH!

Sorry, for all the rambling. Thank you for making this. I’m so glad this exists. More people should experience this piece of art.

Hot and grungy, I like that! Thank you so much for playing! I’m very excited to check out your submission, just waiting for a nice chunk of time to dedicate to it!

Thank you! I wish I was able to do more but life was hectic. I’m glad that it was able to grip you in though! <3

(1 edit)

Loved this. The atmosphere felt very surreal and unnerving throughout and the slow realizations and visual reveals were really well delivered. The costume design is iconic. I think you nailed the balance of horror and cute so well.

Spoilers

Seeing Maya’s reveal was like a “woah”, and a “WOAH” and a “T^T cute” at the same time lol

I also like how you handled the different endings, how there really was no way they were ever getting out of there, but they’re also not bad endings either. Once again striking a really interesting balance of emotions.

Awesome work!

This was so lovely!! The descriptions are so well written it really helps paint such a detailed world full of different senses. I’m happy that Aseroe managed to maybe start breaking down some of those self-imposed walls, so cute T^T. Nettle is such a great character, what a great way to ramp up the conflict!! The updates to the character designs, the style of writing and the presentation in general are all so good! I like the way you’ve expanded the worldbuilding too, getting to learn more about the reapers and the void, it feels like this series could end up really epic in scale (or it could just be an epic backdrop to something more cozy and intimate). I don’t want to say much in case of spoilers but… smells, and tentacles yay! Lol I’m excited to see more!

This was so cute! Always a fan of when characters get stranded together (in this instance it’s a little different but it feels similar). Sepia is absolutely adorable, her design is great (tentacles yay!) and I love just how absurdly forward she is with Aseroe. The colors are so wild, it really helps sell the idea that this world is far removed from our own.

As a tip to any players Pressing H will toggle the text visibility to allow you to get a full look at the beautiful art on display! ^^

Oh wow this was so freaking adorable! These two broken girls are so damn cute and perfect for each other, I’m totally GUSHING over them!! I think I’ve felt a lot of similar sentiments that Fritz thinks regarding my own partner, like they are so amazing and inspiring and why on earth would they stick around with someone like me? I think you did such a good job on tackling those types of dynamics, how people can feel so undeserving of the good things in their life.

Also the worldbuilding is sooo so cool. I want to wear this world you’ve crafted like a quilt lol. It’s so magical and cozy, with a nice level of danger and intrigue to spice things up, plus a (basically god?) that is just eating popcorn watching toxic yuri in real time is just amazing lol.

The art and music are also fantastic! I love the colors and the character designs. It’s so impressive that you crafted all of this yourself, you must have some of Dinah’s dark magic lol

Amazing work, the face blindness was such a fascinating perspective to experience. Incredibly tense storytelling. Ivy surprised me so many times in the best ways, she’s scary. This is seriously so impressive as a first game too.

This was great! I found myself really rooting for Est and Ryn.

Spoilers

Which made the ending all the more horrifying and heartbreaking! T^T Why can’t puppygirls ever seem to get happy endings?!

I liked how you wrote a lot of the descriptions, especially involving color and violence. The sound effects and music were awesome, the way the music faded right when Ryn’s countdown ended was a great extra spike of anticipation too. I’m looking forward to checking out your other submission too!

I’m so happy that you liked it! T^T Rotating is fun! (sry for the late reply)
