Very fun lil game, reminds me a lot of please don't touch anything and save the reactor. Awesome work!

Holy shit, this game was awesome all around! It's really funny and charming, and I really liked how well polished it was. I genuinely think this is a serious contender for the winner of the jam. Amazing work!!!!!!

As a certified biologist I can confirm this is actually what happens to fetuses when they're conceived

Very fun game, also I placed down so many shoobs that I slowed the game down to 1 fps

Absolute cinema 10/10
Really nice visuals and the story gripped me. Great work all around!

Really cool visuals, wish the gameplay had some more depth and polish but I think you did a solid job!

I worked on this :3

Absolute Kineema

Amazing, incredible, teo/10

I did it anyway, because I'm a REBEL

But yes good game would game again 100/100

My favourite part was when you blew up the moon

This game was great! While it is short, the artstyle, writing and the pure vibe of the world carries the experience all the way through. The soundtrack was pretty nice, but I think the game would have benefited from having some more ambient sound effects, like distant church bells ringing out from time to time or just hearing the wind blow. Just some more sounds to add to the mood.

So all in all, better than Elden Ring 10/10

GODDAMNIT, I PUT THAT IN AS A TEMPORARY DEBUG TOOL AND I FORGOT TO REMOVE IT

And yes, I agree, the game definitely needs a lot of polish.

A lot of the mechanics are rough and unpolished and I should have spent more time making the core gameplay loop better. Definitely gonna improve it sometime in the future.

Thank you so much!

There is a tutorial but I don't think I explained the mechanics of the teleport well enough. You are sort of meant to rely on the teleport mostly and only walk to get in range of neon lights, but I should have designed the levels better to incorporate that.

The gems were a last minute implementation which is why they don't work that well.

Tbh I'm not really sure what i was thinking when it comes to how the background moves. It is tied to player movement because I wanted it to have a 3D-esque perspective kinda thing, but it didn't look that good and I didn't change it for some reason.

Definitely gonna improve the particle system in the future because it is a serious issue. Otherwise, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The dash mechanic is really rough around the edges. I wrote in the tutorial that you can dash when in range of neon signs but I should have better included the tutorial or made a better tutorial in general. I'm definitely gonna improve the particle system sometime in the future because after playtesting I saw that the lag is a serious issue.

It's also pretty much the first real 2d platformer I've ever made, so I haven't really gotten the physics and movement completely down yet.

I love it
