One button Hadoken would be utterly WRONG. I'd almost be willing to bet that nearly everyone that's having an issue popping it off reliably is using an XBox controller with the circular, 9-'block' d-pad. I'm thinking the diagonal doesn't read as diagonal all of the time. I haven't had the time to actually TEST that theory, but I have a sh'ton of random controllers I could try. x.x

I use an Xbox One controller with the circular D-pad. Maybe it doesn't do diagonals right? Could be. It's the motion, let off for half a second, then press fire. Sometimes. I'll try a SNES-to-USB this weekend. We'll see.

...oh, duh, escape! XD Thank you.

And yeah, I know the motion, it's just NOT working with any type of consistency. In X1, it was always easy to fire it off! ....might as well try a PS5 controller or something. :-D

Please, please, please fix the Hadoken inputs!

Also, is there a way to get it without having to die multiple times in the pit under the platform? That nukes *ANY* possibility of getting an S rank on the stage -- but it's almost not worth it 'cause I can almost NEVER pull it off anyways! XD

One cool thing about escape: You can use it any time. If you're doing crappy during the stage and die? Escape and go back in. It's how I got S ranks on a few stages that were messing with me.

Absolutely AWESOME update with 1.00.82!

It even fixed the dashjump from the yoku blocks in FireFox's stage! :-D

Still one issue, though:  Hadoken. I have an Xbox One controller with the round D-pad. What it seems is that you have to do the motion and let off *JUST* before you hit the fire button. The timing is wonky. In MMX1, it was a smooth motion and fire; 100% of the time, it would go. This is around 25%.

PLEASE make it a bit smoother to pull off?

Thank you!

Is there a way to donate to you? I know you can't charge for this, but... I mean, what you've done is *AMAZING*, and I'd like to kick you a little something, if possible.

Having issues reliably doing the hadoken. Especially when facing right. Left? I can pull it off around 50% of the time, but facing right? 10%. I accidentally killed both of Sigma's dogs with one fireball, but it was absolutely a fluke. A hilarious fluke, granted. :-D

Also, yeah, please allow holding up and jump to get out of the ride armor; it's still fairly iffy if you're trying to reach a higher ledge by using the armor.

You know.... this is absolutely amazing. I just watched a 100% speedrun (because I'm missing things and I'm derpy, shaddup) and this game is 110% exactly what Mega Man X should be. My GOD dude. You are absolutely awesome! :-D

A few issues I've encountered:

- Ride armor is a pain in the butt to get out of. It took me 25 tries to get the heart tank in the ice bear's level. I finally figured out that you have to up+jump at the same time, but when you're already airborn, that just makes the timing more irritating than it has to be. Past X games, you could just hold up and jump again while in the armor to hop out.

- *WAY* too many blind jumps or leaps of faith. 90% of my deaths were due to these. It almost feels like an homage to X5 and X6 in this regard.

- Double jump doesn't always work from a dash jump. Jump, airdash, double-jump works, but rarely dash-jump-jump.

This game is absolutely bad-ass, though. The control is generally really tight, the stages are (aside from the blind leaps) really well done and fun, the bosses are cool as hell (although the weaknesses almost feel 'meh').

HA! OK, I restarted the game. I left the turtle and monkey (I can't recall names) for last. Went in to the moneky fight, skipped the dialog, and soft-locked. Force-closed and started his stage over again. Didn't skip dialog. Same soft lock. Not sure what's going on there. Tried again, skipped dialog, all was fine.
