Hey there! I didn't participate in the jam or anything but im a new game dev that started with pygame and is getting into godot .

i really loved your game's style and gameplay and polish , well done ! I was wondering if you have any godot advice for a newbie like me . Good luck on the jam!

Hey there thank you for trying to help but I figured things out !

Pygame is actually a little more complicated than a line of code you need packages and extra extensions to do it .

The code you sent is for loading a character sprite from an image .

But thanks anyway for your concern !

This is my first time trying a G-Develop game and i love it !

i played through the entire game and it was a blast , i really like the gameplay and polish . Keep it up!

By far one of my favorite games this jam !

The art,the audio,the gameplay i like everything about this game and i would 100% be interested in a devlog on how you did it .

Im on chrome and it says type error: cannot read properties .....

Im not usually a fan of card games but this game was just insane , great work!

im sorry for the problems that have been heppening with my game . After watching a tutorial , my game should finally be just 1 exe file and no extra work . I dont know if it works yet so i want at least 1 person to download my game and open main_game.exe and tell me if it works in the comments .

I use pygame , so everything is way more complicated . I expected to have some issues my first time , hopefully in future jams i can fix it .

Hey there sorry for the complication ! I sat for a long while trying to make an exe using pyinstaller and i think it worked when i tried it .

It had so many missing stuff so i spent a while debugging but i believe you can find it in the dist file .

If you know how i can fix it please tell me how,thanks!

Thanks so this made my day! I might switch to a real engine like godot later but for now im happy with the progress on pygame , although everything is way more difficult i still love it.

No that’s completely normal at first you cant move or shoot you have to click on + coins and get some coins then click on + abilities and purchase movement and shooting after that press on fight to fight the boss

Hey everyone ! This is my first time making a real game and obviously my first jam. I was hesitant to join first but then i saw how friendly this community was and decided to do it.

At first my game was hard to access becyase i use pygame. But after a long day of hard work i made it easier to play for everyone.

Now all you have to do is to download the game file from my page then open the file called "dist" in the downloaded file after that open "main_game" then "main_game.exe" , you dont need to have python or pygame.

So if you are interested in a short fun experience be sure to check it out , i also uploaded some gameplay videos you can upload and watch to see if my game is worth your time.

Please leave me some suggestions and tips in the comments it means a lot to me , and i will make sure to reply and rate the game of every one who leaves a comment!

I had a lot of time playing through the levels but the game need an end game screen i didn't get it , well done!

Try to unzip the file first 

Right click on it and put extract files or extract here then in the unzipped file open main_game.py using python hope it works , have fun!

Its a game jam after all you don’t expect to make a full balanced game but well done for making a solid playable experience !

Thank you for playing! I started game dev recently and I built up the courage to join my first jam those words matter a lot .

very cute concept and design but i have some suggestions:

1-give the player less recources(i felt like i could choose the best coice each time)

2-make doing nothing cost no money but it makes the villagers angry(doing nothing in the game costs more than helping the villagers out)

3-make an angry villager meter that makes you lose once it reaches a specific level (the villagers kick you out cut seen would be fun)

4-respect for making this game in such small period of time , well done!

Beautiful artstyle and gameplay but i had a problem with the bite attack where it got stuck on one side , well done!

One of the best theme interpretations this jam , good job!

Very simple art yet so satisfying to play. I really liked how you can choose differet characters depending on your play style , great thumbnail btw !
