Thank you so much for playing! We’re glad you were able to keep a lively party up for Az’s awakening & thanks so much for leaving your thoughts in a comment for us, it’s very appreciated!
…Speaking of stickers, have a gander at our 2D character artists stuff https://caesarinohs.carrd.co/ (they have a wee etsy with stickers, prints n badges)
Hi, our team is seeking a programmer for the jam, as our programmer is no longer able to join the jam. We’d be happy to work in Unity, Godot or Unreal, whatever is comfiest for ya :)
You can reply here or send me a msg on discord (@ayperosia) if you’re interested
Edit: Rn we have a dedicated artist, narrative designer, UX/UI Artist and an audio specialist on the team already & we plan to brainstorm ideas after theme gets announced :)
Hey! I found this jam, and am really interested but currently gotta focus on my collaborative honours project for my degree. I’d really love to take part in June if there’s a second jam! So, I figured I’d pop a wee post up to let the organiser know 💜
(I shared this to my team-mates from the honours and they both seemed really interested too! But, for now my team mates are counting on me for Romace, so I can’t split my focus on another larger project)
Hey Billy!
Happy new year, hope you’re well! Would you perhaps be interested in taking part in the upcoming Ludum Dare jam? (https://ldjam.com/)
Cheers, Rosia
The visuals are adorable, the game was fun to play but I did have a few sassy moments with the platforming. The music was lovely but didn’t quite loop smoothly, I really like your approach to the limitation, everything can die, but should it? I got the good ending my first play through and am about to play through again. Great work!
This was a really fun wee rhythm game! I love the way you’ve approached the limitation! I had to try it a couple times, cause the difficulty ramped up a bit with the speed increases, but I believe that’s just as I’m not very used to playing rhythm games.
The art style and music are really on point, I adore the style! The patrons that pop up to request weapons were also a lovely wee aspect that added to the experience. It was really fun, I have some friends who really enjoy rhythm games that I know will love it!
TLDR, fantastic job, fun game!
So, at first I tried to play it in my browser but the aspect ratio seems to be incorrect for that method though, so there was both cut of text for the instructions and off-screen enemies in the later rooms which stopped progression. – I managed to get it downloaded and had a go though!
It was quite fun to play! The power progression feels nice as you play, not too quick or too slow. The art style you’ve gone for is really cute, and I quite enjoyed the visuals and audio together, they fit well.
I think some user interface indicators to keep track of income and health would be a great addition, alongside some more variety if you choose to develop the game further.
Overall, it was a fun experience, your team did great for the timeframe of the jam!
I had a lot of fun playing this wee card game you made! It’s fun to play through and I like the overall UX of it, was worth the extra time to get the radial layout playable card working imho, also the ability to strike the might and heal from the enemies was really fun to play around with! You made a really fun wee experience over the jam, oh yee afore I forget, I also really like the card art you created for the enemies, it looks great!
Ah yeah, sorry about that, we didn’t quite have time to go back to make an introduction during the jam itself. It’s something we wanted to add but had to settle for popping some key info and a wee infographic on the itch page to meet the deadline
Thank you so much for trying out our wee game and taking the time to write us some feedback!
Thank you so much for playing, and thank you so much for the in-depth feedback!
I agree with you, having an indication on the realm pages at the bottom for player clarity would be a great addition! If we decide to take the project forward, we’ll for sure add something of the sort to make information easier to glean at a glance for players. Having a little more separation for the average realm total is for sure another thing we’ll look into fixing if we take the game further as well.
This is really fun to play! I love the adorable character sprites, fun music and the UI you’ve made! The tooltips are really handy to see what is killable and how much damage you need to deal to it as well. There was some fun variety in the gameplay with the different kinds of attacks/cards you have available
Thank you so much for the feedback!
There is not a set win point, but the game gets faster and harder as time passes, with more souls queueing up faster and the cost to request new realms increases each time you get a new room as well! And losing is based on your own bliss, which is affected by overall ream/room happiness, how many souls are queued up, giving a soul over to Devi using the flame icon, or losing realms/rooms! It’s something that I should’ve popped on the page for player clarity, so I’ll amend it tysm!
Adding dialogue for Devi and Peter was one of our stretch goals, we might go back to add it after the rating for the jam ends when we have some time to. Thank you so much for the suggestion of adding some dialogue with the lost souls, that sounds like it’d be a really fun element to play with!
I’m a 2D & UI focused artist seeking a team for this jam! I know I’m a wee bit late to the jam, but I’d love to collaborate with folks on this if anyone is still seeking an artist out. I’mtaking part in the mini-jam this weekend, but would be free to focus on this jam outside of my studies from the 14th.
You can see my prior game projects on my itch page & feel free to check out my portfolio linked there too!
