thanks! static numbers (0, 1, 8) are supposed to not flippable after 1 flip, but the thing is that i forgot to reset every number's flip count to 0 when the round ended, that resulted in the numbers changing after round ended but their flip count is still the exact same (honestly i dont even know why i decided to make a flip count for the numbers lol, maybe it was because i wanted to make an item based on that but forgot? idk)

that was on purpose to let people know that they survived because of it (w speed btw), but that mightve been too extreme lol

mult isnt explained anywhere because originally it was supposed to be a futoshiki (unequal) puzzle based game when i made the rules (and the title of the game), but then i switched to balatro instead and forgot to update the rules lmao

to be straightforward: you get +1 mult and +(number) points for every flipped number

LMAO didnt actually think anyone would beat it (originally it was 1m but i toned it down to 10k)

thanks! i originally wanted to polish more things last hour, but i just couldnt stay awake to test for bugs and didnt want to risk it since im still a beginner, uh also the background to the skill description thing was the default tooltip background for godot, since again im a beginner i dont know how to change it. appreciate the feedback tho, ill use this for future games!

(1 edit)

thank you! ill take your feedback and try to implement it in this last moment before files are locked.
also gl with metagame lol, ive always wanted to 100% it since yesterday but procrastinated, ill try it later after i get enough rest (after i upload another build probably).

edit: hi, i wont upload another build ive decided, im too tired for ts.

im not exaggerating when i say this, this is THE best game ive played in the juniper dev game jam.
first off, im not sure if this is intentional, but the game (especially the music, ill talk about that later) feels much like ultrakill? but anyway, getting into music:

oh boy, the music in this game are absolute BANGERS, again as i said, the amen break motif combined with shooting creatures from hell makes it feel like im in ultrakill (but 2d), if this is intentional, you cooked. if its not, you still cooked.

you did tutorial in a really unique way, and it definitely worked.

the voice acting is very good, i assume you voice this yourself? but it fits the tutorial guy character perfectly, also while were on the topic of character, the way your character walk is just funny lol.

now getting into the nitpicking territory:

  • the leave button in the shop not having sfx at all
  • the wave ui at the middle top of your screen can block your character, this also happens with your bullets deck
  • reloading bullets not automatic (though i can see why as different items do different things)
  • having to spin to avoid blood bullets (i know, the theme of the jam, but if its actively hurting the overall gameplay of the game, itd be better if you switch it with something else (maybe spinning the gun increases bullet speed or something)

oh and also 1 thing to note: i died while fighting hell spider (he had 1/4 of his health) because of skill issue, so if i miss anything or if theres already something in the game that cancels out the nitpicks, then my bad.

i played this game for 1 HOUR, it definitely did the job of getting you hooked from your first impression.

thank you, the game was definitely more of a visuals showcase rather than gameplay!

not a fan of hiding the money i have so that i dont know what i can buy, but i like the concept.
my criticism are:

  •  you cant see your points to spend
  • theres literally no tutorial or some guide
  • theres no music
  • the upgrades are sometimes unreadable

overall great first game!

this is so challangenging to do because of the controls, i only ended up getting a high score of 2200.
love the circus music, the pixel arts are pretty nice, its just the controls that piss me off.

i LOVE the overall feeling of this
it feels somewhat peace and so beautiful, especially the background music
idle games arent really my type of game, but the atmosphere here is beautiful so ill give it high ratings (visuals, audio, and seriousness)

its a really simple game, i love the kevin macleod music
the controls are questionable (in a good way)
overall pretty good, though the gameplay could get boring after like 2 - 3 rounds

a pretty good game, loved the voice acting
though the voiceline gets annoying pretty quickly
though i dont really understand the gameplay loop of this

ill rate them accordingly (and give a feedback)
also has to be a web game cuz yes

(1 edit)

oh, then maybe its just a me issue
maybe because i had the volume too low i guess (nvm it cant be volume because i specifically remember turning that up because i couldnt hear a single thing, its either my play session was bugged or the music didnt loop)

yeah its just black screen for m

very balatro ish 👍

balatro ish roguelike game

cookie clicker + fan = fan of the world
im a big fan of cookie clicker =  im a big cookie of fan of the world?

good game i really enjoyed it, its short tho
also theres no music at all so its kinda just silence

its like an alternative to look for the entries, very good 👍

unfinished, also i think you forgot to disable debug mode lmao

NUMBER GO UP!
i think progression is slow (at least for me, i dont know how it works like do i connect 2 batteries to a machine exporter or 2 batteries and 2 machine exporter connecting each other?) but i love the vibe of this game, good work!

theres no way i beat the first 2 stages without moving LMAO (could only survive for so long tho)
also 1 thing to note, i got "productivity burst" and that isnt on the guide so i dont get it

managed to finish act 1, here are some of my criticism:

  • credits and settings dont work
  • you cant skip the intro
  • you can get stuck jumping in an enemy's head and vice versa
  • gameplay quickly becomes boring after finishing it once

i really love the visuals for the game!

really like the creativity, visuals, and audio of this game
the obstacles could be brutal at times, like a pie in the middle followed by a spinning thing, and because your spin is so slow and have such a fat hitbox, you just cant dodge it
overall good art! though i dont really like the gameplay of this, i love the visuals!

really difficult but fun! i ended up only getting to the second expansion, probably because of skill issue
love the visuals
also a few criticism i have about the game are:

  • barely any sound effects and no music
  • gameplay gets repetitive pretty quickly

but overall, pretty good!

hey uh i tried the game the second time, i dont think it changed that much

oh hey cool! sorry for rating your game really low just because i cant play it (i didnt know you can report the game for being broken to remove it from queue), but now ill do another one with honest review

i love the concept of this game, i just cant get past the first section of the game because i have skill issue so i cant really enjoy the rest of the game, i imagine it would be fun tho!

i got this error: an embedded page at html-classic.itch.zone say Error: Couldn't load project data at path "/". is the .pck file missing?

maybe (or definitely) just for me, but its just a white screen with the custom cursor
also the custom cursor is like MUCH higher than your normal cursor

no problem! i have toned down the effect to make it more accessible, thanks for your feedback!

im REALLY bad at this game, but i still enjoy the game a lot!
ended up only playing for about 3 minutes since fast paced 2d platformers arent my cup of tea, but the quality here is very high!

also just 1 minor nitpick, but i feel like the hammer hitting the ground should have a sound effect, maybe its just me though!

oh thats what you mean by that...
before making the game public i got feedbacks saying i should lower the crt effect down, but i ended up making a setting for it instead of actually lowering the effect down. that was my bad, i didnt know it would hurt the readability of the game!

i really like every aspect of this game (besides audio)!
i ended up playing like i think 5 or 6 of the levels until i got stuck in a level with the red skull and a skeleton, im really not that good at these type of games. but overall this is probably my favorite design and creativity so far!

i really enjoy the game!
the only criticism i have for the game is that the controls were confusing at first (at least for me), i thought you were supposed to hold them down but i guess not

also yeah its really hard to balance out both of the meters as the bored meter goes up so fast even with the dizzyness meter filled up

thank you for the feedback!
it was supposed to be a roguelike trials and errors game, so i didnt really put much effort into the rules section

good but its really frustrating for me, maybe its just my skill issue but yeah

my thought was rapid flipping = spinning lol

if you think about it, last place is better than something like second last place no?
