Heya, programmer here! Honestly, that's my bad. There was planned to be a lot more risk you could take (You'd actually have choices on how to deal with the creatures), but we ran out of time. Hopefully we manage update the game after the jam and fix some things. Really glad to hear you liked the art and story!

Did you download the exe and the pck? If so, oof. I don't know how to fix that easily. :(

Great game! Loved the ending dialogue

For a first game, it's really well done! If you're able to make the burp sound when eating the cheese quieter and fix some of the graphical errors with the sprites (like the mouse's sprite cutoff and the strange tileset), it would be even more fun. Congrats on submitting a game!
