I love the solution for the Interaction Hint. I have done it with events many times, but this is so much simpler. Thank you very much!

Fun, cool use RPG Maker. Cheers!

These are set up for the "swing" weapon animation btw.

If you are using MV/MZ and want to use Side View Battles I made SV Battlers for DZ and Riggy from the provided resources. Have at them.

Thank you! This weekend I am hoping to do the next part of the course! Having to go through and implement my own version of the concepts is really helpful!

Here you go. I made the repository public. Just download it as a zip file using the code button at the top. Then launch it in GB Studio. Let me know if you do something cool with it!

Just uploaded it here. You should be able to download it. :)

I bought Bitty Engine from steam and am toying with it. It seems like a great tool. If that is any indication of what your plans are here I am pumped. I have used another tool for GB development and had a blast. Really looking forward to seeing where this goes!

This is a wonderful little tool. Enjoying playing with it!

Thanks for the heads up. I will see if I can figure out what might be causing that. I was able to recreate the error using your steps. Now I just have to figure out what is causing it. Thanks again!

Hello all, my name is Penny. I think it is an interesting challenge. My thought is that I have only finished one project in RPG Maker ever. So if I can use this jam to finish a project I can always go and replace the art etc. later if I want. Plus mapping in RPG Maker is relaxing.

My computer crashed the day before the jam started :(. I am finally back up and running though. So I am starting today. I have to make up for lost time. I really like your Tieflings @ZodiacStories !

Definitely excited to see what everyone comes up with!

It's definitely interesting reacquainting myself with the default assets. I am sort of looking at this as Nanowrimo for RPG Maker. I think at this point I just  have to sit on my hands until the clock starts and the theme is announced. :)

I am looking over the MZ RTP and am realizing how much less I like it then MV. I always use the MV Trinity Pack in MZ so I have never had to really look at the base RTP. There isn't a chimney, just a weird pipe thing? Also the trees all look like they come from an English garden, not a forest. I have not used MV in a long time but I installed it and sure enough the RTP for MV has a chimney and slightly better trees, a better scarecrow. That is just wild that I never noticed. I own both so I made a mishmash of the two RTPs so I could have things like a chimney. I hope this is in the spirit of the jam. I ended up keeping the MZ trees but using MV scarecrow.

I think it is a fun idea! I love RPG Maker for its relaxing vibe. I have only really finished one RPG Maker project though. I am hoping the deadline and the inability to get caught up in all the things I could do but probably can't will mean I finish. Something like a Nanowrimo for RPG Maker.

Thank you again! I am so glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't even think of it as dragging on just going up in difficulty as you play through. Thanks for pointing that out

Thank you!

The art style is very whimsical and cartoon like. It also had a definite vibe of a mini-game in an old school point and click game. I always appreciate music as well. I think your theme was a bit offensive but I hope you meant it all in good fun.

The controls were very smooth and the lighting effects were definitely neat. I think some music and sound effects would add a lot.

I think it is a great start. i hope you continue to develop it. I appreciate the graphics and sound as well as palette choices.

ha! I am glad you enjoyed it! I definitely wanted it to have a whimsical cartoon vibe.

I love GB Studio. You might consider adding a cover photo for the itch page? I definitely enjoy the concept. :)

I downloaded and ran the executable and it gave an error state no spaceship.png in directory. Just wanted to give you heads up just in case.

I used a few of your tracks for a game jam this week. I received your music in one of the bundles and absolutely love it. I am attaching a link to the game in case you would like to play. Your tracks are used in the main body of the game and again in the credits.

Very enjoyable, Good luck on the full game!

This is very exciting. I am a rubyist primarily and coffeescript is a good deal more ruby like than vanilla js. Thank you!

Good music, and very smooth animations. Very nice!

Nice game!

Wow, I don't want to give anything away. I will just say this was a very very strong entry and that it was such a great use of the engine. I really appreciated everything you did here.

The background started to give me a headache but the game itself was definitely fun! Very classic feel.

I think a bit more direction would have been helpful but it had great atmosphere. Thanks for making it!
