we made the game in gamemaker ^^

This game is really unique, personally as a gamemaker dev, I haven't seen a lot of raster games, and honestly, this was quite a refreshing change in style, I really like the paper theme (I am quite a sucker for DIY themed stuff so there's that too lol) and overall, this was a really relaxing experience, tho at the start I was a bit worried this was gonna be a horror-ish type of game (since I am not really good with those) but at the end, I really enjoyed what I played

Yeah, the controls were...subpar, to say the least so i'll try explaining what happened a bit quickly

- I used a library for the input so that the game also had some neat gamepad controls and such

- I mapped it to backspace cuz it was also gonna be used for leaving submenus on a menu and stuff, and I thought "well I will probably have time to add key rebinding at the end right?"

- turns out, I didn't, so I ended up leaving the control scheme in there

yeah, basically it was all due to time constraints, and we are planning to fix that on a post jam update alongside some bugs and unimplemented assets lol

could you please tell me what browser you were using? I can't replicate the problem on my pc so I would love to know if this could be a browser problem

Ayyy, thank you!!! The art truly is honestly one of the best parts of the game imo,  it truly is phenomenal

as for the controls, we just kinda developed it without thinking about the release so honestly it is reasonable, I personally wanna make an update as soon as possible to fix the problems that the people have commented about the game, namely the controls and some bugs that were pointed out

Octo is still honestly a genius for coming up with the idea for that flying mattress, I couldn't have come up with that idea myself lol, and it did make that level so hard to a point where I myself started getting a bit annoyed during the final playtest sessions

as for the attacks , yeah I personally think there should be some more balancing, the decision to not let the player shoot in the air was a decision I made so that there wouuld be a bit of "realism", which looking back, was a somewhat bad decision, lol, but I think that could be fixed in a post jam update

as for that, it has infinite, it creates more thru mitosis, or something, no idea

the artists definetly went out of their way for this one, I genuinely think they did extremely well

as for the humour, we really put effort on that one lol

I liked how the game messes around with the perspective at a certain point, it genuinely threw me off a lot and it did scare me a bit, not only that, but the game also looks really good and is honestly a blast to play, especially with friends on vc where they try to guide you thru the house

really solid experience I'd give it a 8/10
