I actually intended to add a lot of other things that I ended up not having the time for but I’m hyped about what I shipped either way.

I sincerely doubt I would’ve made it at all if my wife hadn’t done the music for me lol.

I originally intended to make the dungeons a lot crazier. I had a bunch of scripting done to randomize them even more (item placements, additional rooms, layouts, etc) but I kept running into bugs that I knew I wouldn’t have time to account for so I scaled everything back. 

Still happy with how it turned out though!

Yeah I saw the rule, just wasn't sure since I did create it by scratch and it isn't a direct cover of said song but I'll go ahead and scrap it just to be safe. I have a couple fully original tracks I can use instead. Thanks!

Can I make a gameboy version of an old song that's now public domain? This will be a rendition of an old sea shanty but with my own twists so not a direct copy of the original.

Lol no problem. COM is combat. I included it in the tutorial but an unfortunate downside of the GB engine is dialogue length limitations.

Not at this time. I actually lost most of the source files for this project about a year ago so it probably won’t be receiving any more updates unless I can find a backup.

I’m not sure, honestly. I haven’t actually played this game or looked at the code in a while but I appreciate you trying it out nonetheless!

You could definitely try to change the font size in the command prompt settings and adjust the window accordingly though I’m not sure that would have the exact effect you’re looking for.

Really awesome looking game. Is there a way to play without a num pad? Would love to give this a go but would rather not have to bust out another keyboard to do so.

Wow, yeah I did the form on itch, had no idea there was another one we had to do. These hosts absolutely botched this jam. Not even saying to be rude at this point, just really disappointed and it sucks that they just argue with everyone on Discord instead of accepting their screw up and learning from it.

Oh well, I’m happy I got the experience of “participating” even if I end up being disqualified in the end. Tis about the journey, not the destination… or something like that.
