the hanging thing at the top of the room is a key, you have to get close to it to interact with it, then you can use the key on the hand.

I love playing games made by fellow GMS devs, especially when errors like this happen xd
In all seriousness though, great game, I love the art style, couldn't get very far without getting this when trying to talk to the shadow man
This game has one of the most unique art styles I've ever seen! The mix of 3D spaces and 2D sprites is so cool! Reminds me of classic DOOM, but the gameplay (especially in the big open room) is more similar to that of Ultrakill. I found myself running around and trying to survive while killing all the enemies in that room and it was very fun. Music design was also very good, I noticed a couple different music tracks but they were hard to hear sometimes over all the enemy noises, but I got used to it.
The only issues I found were that if you paused and clicked continue, it put you back at the save meaning you probably just shouldn't pause in general. Oh, and also I couldn't figure out how to heal which meant that I was trying to speedrun getting thru the big room but I kept dying and I couldn't look at the pause menu to see controls without getting reset lol. I literally finally got to the door in there and there was an enemy on the other side and he shot me and killed me before I could react xddd
This is definitely my favourite submission so far though! <3
This was a neat lil' game! I liked the puzzle mechanics and having to use the goblins to break the stone and lighting the trees on fire. Very cool, usually metroidvanias are platformers but I kinda liked that this one wasn't because I think it fit the theme better. Why did my brother have to kill me :(
This game is actually so good. I spent about 30-45 mins playing thru before my computer crashed, LOL. It sucks tho so it's not your fault or anything, I'm actually kind of impressed. Anyway, the atmosphere in this game is AMAZING. Actually one of my favs so far, the music is top notch and I had a lot of fun playing with the abilities. My only complaint is that the energy bar fills up too slowly and attacking enemies isn't really worth it, I found myself just pushing them away because I'd lose too much health, haha. Anyway, great game, I'd love to see more like this!
I love this - I have 2 things tho - Like ginger said, the health feels a little bit weird, I don't think the tutorial is clear enough on what it means because I couldn't figure out how to recharge it, and the other things is that sometimes the collisions were really weird and I'd just get stuck places.
Other than that tho this looks really good! Nice job
