Really solid idea, Love the graphic style, not really my cup of tea as far as gameplay goes.
The fat enemies felt a little bit unfair, perhaps some way to parry them, I got hit every time one showed up.

Hello. I am a professional programmer who was recetly made redundant. I have mainly worked in office software professionally and only in solo developer roles. I have always been passionate about developing games and am looking to join a team, mostly to get more expereince working in a team.

I have experience with Unity, Github, Java and C# development, can do development in Javascript and have experience making addons for RPG maker.

I would not be seeking payment upfront, nor for any freeware produced but would need to negotiate for any work that would be put to a saleable product or service.
