Unfortunately not, especially after recent drama with Visa/Mastercard. Steam is the only platform that works for me with ease of tax and laws. I haven't even tried applying to GOG, seeing bigger developers being rejected.

Yes, in theory you can only sleep and have sex, story goes anyway. I know, it makes the entire training thing "fake". Alternative was to remove calendar and have it depend on stats like in My Cheetah Friend, but that would turn into grind. I find making those kind of games very hard in terms of design - that's why My Secretary Bird has mixed reception, the gameplay didn't quite fit the narrative... or the other way round.

Majority of players prefer the new direction which I see in sales - my top performers on Steam utilize AI tech.

My games were never popular, so if this change helps me pay the bills and allows me to make better games, I don't see why not use it.

To be honest, drawing became frustrating. It wasn't getting any better and no matter how I tried, none of my projects achieved what current ones do. For me, it's obvious.

It was a workflow test. I used animations in several games on Steam, but it doesn't seem like it's a sales driver and requires too much work.

I appreciate feedback anywhere, I'm not getting much of it on some games.

Yes, I know there are tiny icon bugs, but apparently they're just on web, something with formatting probably. I tested on PC and SteamDeck and everything is OK there.

The idea of dynamic reward is good, I even experimented with it, but it makes balancing hard... that's why ultimately points don't really matter anyway. I also don't like "you didn't get enough points on X", and I also know that some might not like certain minigames, so training is mostly flavor thing. But it's not visible in long-term. The story is linear, with random events in between.

Oh... Uhh... Well... It was a throwaway line to explain category, I don't see people caring about my worldbuilding, so I kinda stopped worldbuilding in a sense.

Yup, that's how it works, they're friends, and then things progress along the story.

I considered side characters, but then people would complain why they can't fuck them, so I backed out of the idea.

My games most likely won't even get approved on GOG, so I'm not trying, seeing bigger developers getting rejected.

Thanks! The full game would be more of the same, it's generally finished and I'm working on something else.

Unfortunately no, the game targets PC and SteamDeck.

This is the final sample of visuals. Even though AI was used in production, it still required plenty of manual work.

I was the actual artist, I used to draw for my games, but if it wasn't good enough, why bother? And I simply can't afford to hire someone better than me. I also have bills to pay, but apparently only good ones matter in this discourse.

That's not planned, the target platform is PC/SteamDeck.

Maid's Duty was made with AI assistance, I guess doing the extra step with animations kinda hides it. With this project, I was just exhausted to do that. Instead I focused on story and gameplay. No animations allowed to add more content too.

Thanks! You can also check out My Cheetah Friend and My Secretary Bird, available on Steam. They're similar, yet different from this one.

Thanks! If anything, I think my games are getting better now. Instead of not being happy with visuals, I can just move on to other parts of the game. I keep experimenting, seeing what works, what doesn't.

Some mean comments are expected on free stuff; it stopped happening on Steam though.

Yup, people didn't like it as much. Some say I was never an artist to begin with, since I wasn't good enough. Now with help of AI I can focus on other parts of the game.

Oh, wow, can't you be like, you know, more original? Isn't it the point?

Don't like it, ignore it. This game is just not for you, and that's OK!

You'd call my hand-drawn games "cringe shit" too, anyway :P

It's a false positive, triggers more sensitive antiviruses. Here's explanation from engine developers:

Unfortunately not, due to the laws in my country :(

Thanks! It was just an animation workflow practice

I just like adding various things and cultural references in my games.  English is not even my native language :P

Yes, the games share the universe, although in a soft way, more like easter eggs instead of proper worldbuilding.

Slave Harem is set clearly in London area in the future/parallel world. I didn't think where this one does.

I don't remember, to be honest, might as well be, I was making things up as I went. The concept was that it takes place in post-post-post-apocalypse in the area around the East Coast of North America - I thought it would be interesting.

If you liked that setting, my other games on Steam - Slave Harem and Flavors of Desires - are in the quasi-shared universe as Dungeon Core Master, although I mostly dropped direct location naming.

(1 edit)

Yup, I heard about this and found the solution. Full version will have it patched. I might update the demo later, after release.

Out of curiosity, why writing a comment to a comment under this game's demo? I thought I gave plenty of ways of contact and Flavors of Desires have its own demo on Itch (although not much interest as it's download-only). Maybe I don't know something and contact info and the new game is not visible?

Tried Patreon and SubscribeStar, didn't work. But I did just "If you like what I do, feel free to donate, nothing in return".

There's still an issue because my jurisdiction determined that "donation" in exchange for content is a direct sale and that's a whole can of worms where I live. Steam makes it easy because they're the actual seller with a clear contract.

I don't want to promote it, but there's a certain website that has my games downloadable without my input - piracy. Feel free to look it up, it's already there and I can't do anything about it :P Flavors of Desires most likely will also end up pirated soon after release.

Sadly, no. Itch doesn't really allow NSFW sales ("technically" they do, but payment processors don't and I don't feel like risking account ban there). I won't even attempt to get on GOG, I probably won't be accepted, hearing that more known developers don't.

So unless Steam implements proper age checks to comply with local laws or there's a platform I can release on without tax and legal issues, there's no option for now.

Unfortunately, I can't release it anywhere else due to tax/legal reasons. I'm still looking for other marketplace that is trustworthy, has no legal/tax issues, and is welcoming to small adult content creators.

Sadly, things didn't change for the better.

Itch.io requires Adult content to be paid directly, and PayPal, Stripe, and other payment processors do not allow Adult content so I'd risk having account banned. Steam is still the best platform to avoid potential issues on my side.

What do you mean?

Unfortunately not. Itch now requests NSFW content to be sold directly... and that means instant ban on PayPal or Stripe :P Not to mention my local laws being in the way too.

Thanks!

Adding animations to past games would require a total remake. I switched to a different game engine. While "from the outside" looks fairly similar, the inner logic is drastically different.

Making a remake of old games is something I'm considering. Probably a bit later, they're not that old yet. Or I'd take games that did not have great reception and enhance them with animations, AI-powered art, expand on content, and so on.

Added (only for Windows)! Hope it works, might have issues on non-1080p displays.

Thanks! I always felt my writing for sex scenes was not great, so I started to consider an alternative. I happened to make this pony animation "modular", so I reused loops to build this minigame.

Initially, I wanted to make an interactive/reactive system, but turned out it's not that easy and constantly moving the mouse might not be exactly entertaining.

Thanks! I switched to using AI in my workflow, I'm not sure it's something you'd like.

Besides, this theme is not in my interests.

Have you ever tried making a game? Just do a better one yourself if it's so easy.

I'm not asking $20 for games on Steam but a symbolic $3. Most players don't complain about the content/price ratio.

As I wrote in the description, some systems/combinations of browser and system might not work. That's common in Web-based games. Try a different browser. I think I read somewhere that Apple's OS might have an issue with this engine.

I don't plan on adding anything to this one, it's just a proof-of-concept of the system I'm considering using in my full games on Steam (and yes, these would have more features, including cumming).

That's because you need to be logged to Steam and opt-in mature content to view Adult-Only games.

None. I don't intend to at the moment.

Unfortunately not possible.

Itch.io requires "direct payment" in the case of adult games and that's a trouble because of convoluted local tax laws in my country.

Thanks! I plan to release it sometime by the end of November or early December. The game is completed, just waiting for some wishlists.  The price will be most likely $3 or $4.

Yes. Steam does not allow unlicensed AI-generated content anymore so I'm not using it.

Backgrounds are purchased stock assets. Characters sprites and illustrations are hand-drawn. The titular Core background element was made in Blender 3D with slight render overpaint and composed with a stock background image.

Released a while ago: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2113000/Cats_in_Heat/

It's not in "endless update" development.

Please try Firefox, should work on that browser.

The engine version I used for this build does not support certain browsers/environments. Please try Firefox.

Unfortunately I am aware of this issue. I'm in touch with my local tax lawyer and I was advised not to put my games on other storefronts because of different legal basis and payout systems - Steam pays each month, itch.io whenever I ask, which kinda messes up accounting.

But as with everything, things might change, so I might be releasing games on itch.io too, in the future. Or Steam changes their system to comply with German laws (or maybe German laws will change).
