AAAAAHH This is so close to being done! I managed to time my weapon to fire right as the other entities fire at me, so I'm gonna pretend I won. I made the victory fanfare sound with my mouth. Are you planning on completing it? The sound and visuals are incredible, so I hope at least see the first level in its final form eventually!!

Sabi I absolutely ADORE how well you use every medium to its fullest extent. No matter what engine you use, Bitsy, HTML, that website-based game engine we used back in CDM: Narrative Games.. You really squeeze the water out of every rock you find. 

I really enjoyed this one. The humor and the gameplay are so sweet together, that I feel like the animation was underappreciated! It'd take me all day to wrap my head around the Bone2D nodes, so I've never tried using them. Its implementation is incredible -- I spent a few minutes jumping around in Contra's house since I was so mesmerized LOL

I SUCCESSFULLY EARNED ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THE TUNA!!! SUBMITTING 4 MINUTES BEFORE THE DEADLINE IS CRAZY WORK BTW.. SOLO DEVELOPERS ARE A DIFFERENT BREED...

This is awesome!! It's actually incredibly hard to go out of business in this game, but after giving a loan to anyone and everyone who walked through the door, I managed to do it!

Thanks! I wished I could have thrown in a handful more levels, but I was pretty satisfied with a simple concept executed in such little time. ❤️

I first tried to use Newtonian physics, but it was too inconsistent, and didn't have very consistent movements (especially at small distances.) In reality, the gravity strength curve actually looked like this. I'm glad it ended up okay!

This game is soooo much more fun in a quieter room!! Great work team!! The fish parrying is perfect, and the sound of the fish leaving the water exactly one measure before you slice it makes it really satisfying. One gripe I have is the ambiguous timing of the slice notes. I understand you're supposed to wait for the fish to line up and wait for the beat, but I still feel robbed when I slice it one measure too early when the fish were perfectly lined up on my screen!!! I think an pre-emptive sound or something would make it less frustrating, similar to the "Bah bum bum bum" sound in Air Rally from Rhythm Heaven Fever, or if the visual cues didn't fade out as you get closer to the intended timing. Ultimately, the controls were quite responsive and the cute art and music really came together. Wooo!!

Great polish as always, team.  I especially love the weird ground circle thing. It looks like such a polished effect, but I'm guessing it's just a radial noise texture with some opacity? Great bang for your buck in terms of development time costs. Also, is the writing for the cube robot guy inspired by the ELIZA chatbot?

I quit the game at Wave 118. This was really an amazing experience, and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. Once you get lifesteal and enough recursions, it turns more into an idle game, but that's part of the charm, I think. The voice acting is incredible!!

Oh my god the atmosphere was incredible.. I really don't know what I just played, but I enjoyed it a lot. The warnings honestly add to the game -- I felt unnerved even when nothing scary happened. Thanks for crediting every single asset, by the way!! It's great to see due diligence.. I'm excited to see what you create next!

WHOA!! The Up Next mechanic is simple, but executed awesomely. Great gameplay loop, and I appreciate the nice polish with the sound and ESPECIALLY the red arrow pointing to the next enemy. Great work!!

That was awesome! I managed to get 27 points after I realized I could kill bad guys from the safety of the Between Space lol

I didn't understand the dialogue when it first showed up. "You're here again..?" Huh? This is the first time I got here, I thought.. However, it was only after 15 tries later I realized. Oh. DoubleBrackets knew that I would die 15 times. Masterful game design.

Great concept!! It was short and sweet and left me wanting more.. The art is definitely the highlight, with the audio supplement!! Turn-based strategy is really annoying to program, glad you guys managed to get through that challenge..

Controls:

1. Click the icons on the bottom left to select a "gag"

2a. Click anywhere on the screen to place the gag.

2b. If it doesn't work, maybe select a gag again.. Sorry!

3. Push "F" to reset camera

Gags:

- Banana Peel: Will lift Mr. MaGiggles into the air when Mr. MaGiggles slips on it.

- TNT: Will propel Mr. MaGiggles accordingly after the player has clicked on it.

- Boxing Glove: Use at your own peril. Kind of buggy. Drag along the slider to punch Mr. MaGiggles around

I HAD THE IDEA OF MAGNETS TOO BUT I WASN'T SURE HOW TO INCORPORATE IT.. MAGNET GOLF IS SO INVENTIVE I LOVE IT

I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE TEASING ME BUT I LEGITIMATELY AM OBSESSED WITH THE CORPSE MOVEMENT!!! I FEEL LIKE THERE'S SO MUCH DEPTH THAT I'M MISSING AND IF I REALLY POLISHED IT, IT COULD BE SO MUCH FUN

WOOOOOOW I can only beat the game in a reasonable amount of time on older patches of the game.. A record lost to time........

There are a lot of great details in here, like the knife moving after a melee attack, and the beautiful pixel art..  I think this game struggles in finding an identity though. The player is so fast, enemies have a lot of health, and they get even stronger upon death. So why fight enemies at all? Pumpkin Chad is a chad who runs around shirtless in a 6-pack! Why is he running away from all the baddies? Beyond the error messages and odd enemy movement, this game is actually gorgeous. Clearly, a lot of time was placed on nailing the art, and it shows. Once Pumpkin Chad finds his identity as either a desperate scaredy-pumpkin, or a powerful warrior mowing down hordes of endless enemies, this game could be really cool..!

Love the particle work! You really explode off the ground after launching. The sound builds.. and builds... and BAM, particles go flying, and you're off at a breakneck speed. The lightning doesn't really feel fair.. It doesn't seem like I have the reaction time nor the maneuverability to avoid them, so it was a little frustrating. Still, the custom music? Awesome touch. Great game guys!
