Wow this is a nice game. Hope i can see more from you.

Hello everyone!

I am the solo developer behind Ark Games, and I am very excited to announce that the first playable prototype of our dark fantasy narrative experience, V: The Abyss, is now available for free!

🎮 Play/Download it here: https://arkgames0078.itch.io/v-the-abyss

About the Game V: The Abyss is a short, highly atmospheric pixel-art game. You awaken in a lightless, shifting purgatory, bound by a heavy iron shackle that emits a frail light. To progress and escape, you must cross chasms guarded by giant, twisted entities.

The core hook of the game is that the toll for passing is your own humanity.

You don’t just pick a dialogue option; the game’s engine dynamically reacts to your sacrifices:

Sacrifice your Sight: The game plunges into pitch black. You lose the background environment entirely and have to navigate using only a tiny radius of light from your chain, while red hallucinations creep at the edges of the screen.

Sacrifice your Hearing: The deep, rumbling bass of the cavern fades to complete silence, replaced only by the maddening whispers of the void.

Sacrifice your Speed/Touch: Your character physically breaks, slowing down your movement permanently and leaving a trail of blood, or crippling your stamina regeneration.

Features: A dynamic, organic lighting system (The Focus mechanic).

Deep, guttural soundscapes designed for headphones.

Multiple paths and a secret ending for those who explore the dark carefully.

As this is our first prototype, we are heavily relying on community feedback to expand this into a full 50-minute premium title. We would absolutely love to hear your thoughts on the atmosphere, the controls, and the sensory deprivation mechanics.

Grab your headphones, turn off the lights, and let us know which sense you decided to sacrifice first!

Thank you for playing, Ark Games

Hi everyone, I just published my first game!

V: A Habit of Suffering is a short atmospheric experience about trauma and the exhaustion of daily life. It’s the first release from my studio, Ark Games, and I’m planning to expand this universe in future projects using Godot.

Since this is my first project, any feedback regarding the vibe or the dialogue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for playing!
