My personal ideal is between 1 for solo skirmishes and 4, 5 if we include the GM in narrative campaigns.
Honestly though it's really up to how many other players you can handle at your table, my upper limit as a GM is around 7 players.

Hey Valtharr, there's no specific way, usually we just place them wherever it feels right before we roll to see who goes first, keeping buildings off the streets and cars on the street (the two statues usually go in any empty non street area we have left). you could also take turns placing buildings if you cant agree on a setup.
PS: you definitely don't need to use all the terrain objects, do whatever seems fun for everyone.
Hello there tabletop game devs !
Tabletop wargames and RPGS are relying more and more on 3D printed models, so given how I make miniatures and terrain to go alongside my tabletop game, I wanted to see if itch.io will be a good platform for sharing the 3D printable STL files. I've posted one of them up today and the plan is to put up a few more in the next few days and gauge the overall response compared to dedicated websites like Cults 3D. I'll hopefully follow up on this depending on how well the files are recieved (both paid and free). If this goes well, itch.io could be a much better platform for small tabletop mini and terrain designers since other platforms take a pretty big slice of the pie and can feel disconnected from the games that inspired the models.
