I like the chill vibe this has. It reminds me of started valley and I could see a scrolling dialog window running while listening to it. Cool piece.

Yep. I did band and orchestra in high school. The vst I used was the free version of the BBC symphony orchestra so I didn't have certain articulations like legato to blend the note changes seamlessly. Your right about adding the noise gate to the snares, it's something I'll have to work on in the future. Thanks for your input!
thank you for the in depth emotional analysis of the my piece! It's good to get feedback on how people felt and I'm glad I was able to convey my thought. Also, I really appreciate your advice on the midi snare but I had no idea where to begin to fix it so I just left in. You've given me a starting point to fix my snare sound in the future so thank you!
I listened to the tracks in the order you suggested and I like the movement each piece has. They did a good job of portraying each season through Tino's story. I also like the melodies you made with the violins and various woodwinds over the piano. The only suggestions I would make writing wise is that you can support your melody lines by adding color and expression with chords from backing strings like violas and cellos for your violin lines and add resonance to your woodwind lines with bassoons and a brass section, But only if you wanted. There's writing techniques called "voice leading" and "chorale style" writing that help blend your melodies to your supporting voices and fill the spaces between them to create a fuller sound. None of this is necessary though and your music really told a story! Good job!
I really like vibe this song gives off. It feels like if ocarina of time and dark souls had a baby. It reminds me of the shadow temple as well. I like the build up to the 2:50 mark, that's where it has a very dark souls boss feeling. I also like the use the use of pizzicato with the arpegiated chords.
I appreciate your feedback and totally agree with you about the volume balance and the digital snare. I'm using a new plug in that I haven't paid for the full version yet and I couldn't quite get the snare sound I wanted but I left it in anyway. The instruments are recorded in the same room so they are panned based on there location and it affected my volume balance. It's something I will improve in my next piece!
Thank you for the kind words!
