I like the chill vibe this has. It reminds me of started valley and I could see a scrolling dialog window running while listening to it. Cool piece.

cool dude! I like the breaks in this. And it leaves a very chill vibe behind. I wish I knew how to make my tracks a soundtrack on here so people wouldn't have to download load it either haha

nice. It fit very well with the theme

I appreciate that! Yeah... I admittedly had to many other things going on and didn't have time to finish this one. Not my proudest moment haha.

(1 edit)

Thanks! That whole thing was pretty much an intro. I had so much going on at the time i couldn't finish the song haha. I saw the footprints leading up to the door and tried to simulate it.

I liked the melody in this one. Gave a good vibe to the track.

I think you did a really good job idea getting your idea across. I like the key and scales you used to

I like the ambient feel. I feel like I can out under the trees

Nice! I like the jazzy style!

Nice! Kinda reminds me of the vender music from resident evil

very orchestral sound good job!

I like the tension this provides with the rhythmic melody!

Yep. I did band and orchestra in high school. The vst I used was the free version of the BBC symphony orchestra so I didn't have certain articulations like legato to blend the note changes seamlessly. Your right about adding the noise gate to the snares, it's something I'll have to work on in the future. Thanks for your input!

Really good stuff!. Time to step my own game up! There's nothing more I can say that everyone else hasn't already. I agree with it all! Good job!

Cool. I like the rhythmic feel this one has. The lower end reminds me of a donkey kong game. The only thing i could possibly say is that theres a part in the middle that may have gone out of key but its not a big deal and overall it was pretty catchy!

thank you for the in depth emotional analysis of the my piece! It's good to get feedback on how people felt and I'm glad I was able to convey my thought. Also, I really appreciate your advice on the midi snare but I had no idea where to begin to fix it so I just left in. You've given me a starting point to fix my snare sound in the future so thank you!

Wow amazing work! Your use of voicings and dynamics create a sound that I aspire to have in my own music! It's very impressive in my humble opinion and has really inspired me to take my next piece to the next level during the next jam! Bravo!

Very good production quality! Has a very atmospheric vibe. I admittedly didnt read that they were three separate songs but i couldn't tell because they all fit together very seamlessly. Good work!

really good guitar work. You posted your demo in the chat and I knew it was going to turn out good. "Hidden Valley" reminds me of the forest temple from Legend of Zelda, and I really liked your arpeggiated chords in "Runic Forest"

This did a good job of conveying the forest theme! I agree with Bodotheserf about what he said, but the timing was a bit off in my piece as well! I pictured a stardew valley type game with it

nice vibe. Really gave a horror feel then a resolution at the end.

nice! I like the combination of instruments, synthetic, and digital aspects in this one!

I like the harp sounding strings and i wasnt expecting the digital sound to come in with the second song!

This did a good job of portraying a dark time in the forest, maybe in a cutscene before a battle at night

I listened to the tracks in the order you suggested and I like the movement each piece has. They did a good job of portraying each season through Tino's story. I also like the melodies you made with the violins and various woodwinds over the piano. The only suggestions I would make writing wise is that you can support your melody lines by adding color and expression with chords from backing strings like violas and cellos for your violin lines and add resonance to your woodwind lines with bassoons and a brass section, But only if you wanted. There's writing techniques called "voice leading" and "chorale style" writing that help blend your melodies to your supporting voices and fill the spaces between them to create a fuller sound. None of this is necessary though and your music really told a story! Good job!

I really like vibe this song gives off. It feels like if ocarina of time and dark souls had a baby. It reminds me of the shadow temple as well. I like the build up to the 2:50 mark, that's where it has a very dark souls boss feeling. I also like the use the use of pizzicato with the arpegiated chords.

Really good work! Each song does a good job capturing the moment you were trying to convey. The production and mixing quality is executed very good as well. Would go well in an Rpg/jrpg.

The production quality Is very well done in this. Good job!

I appreciate your feedback and totally agree with you about the volume balance and the digital snare. I'm using a new plug in that I haven't paid for the full version yet and I couldn't quite get the snare sound I wanted but I left it in anyway. The instruments are recorded in the same room so they are panned based on there location and it affected my volume balance. It's something I will improve in my next piece!

Thank you for the kind words!

Hey thanks for the kind words! I agree with some of the timings being off. It's something that I will improve in my next piece.

Thank you!
