Actually you'll encounter 5 enemies in total if you complete the story, which I realize is not much! I guess I should have added more enemies but I focussed more on the story. The first area has only one enemy and you can continue after completing the robot's quest. 

Thank you so much! Yes I think I should have designed the entrance to the first enemy fish better.

    As for the jump, it is honestly the first time I focussed on doing anything other than just assigning a jump velocity and gravity. I used a gravity multiplier but that affects only the second half of the jump. I guess I should try tweaking the first half of the jump and add some acceleration deceleration while running as well. 

That's strange. Did you press left click on the mouse? Also, you cannot fire while you are in dialogue maybe that's why?

This is my first game jam and I submitted a visual novel type game with platforming and shooting. The story is based on the theme. But I definitely learnt a lot, even if my game is not amazing I accomplished everything I set out to do with it.
