Hi there's an alpha build of trifoil you can test if still interested. Post in https://andrew-jones.itch.io/trifoil and I'll give you a link

Sorry did not release you cannot DM on itch.io email me at twentyfourhourpajamapeople@gmail.com

You can absolutely be part of the alpha.  DM me your email. Yes new mechanics are introduced as the player progresses through the game. Most puzzles have a unique solution, but some have multiple. I'll post some screenshots of harder puzzles for you. There's also an old prototype build you can try, I'll send you a link.

Thanks, the controls are going to get a complete rewrite before release. I just got them going enough to start testing ideas.

Glad you figured out the implicit rules, they become much easier once you do. Combined mechanics come into play later.

The puzzles need to be improved. But that's the point of prototypes to test out ideas and iterate.

Thanks for checking it out and taking the time to write the above. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the other areas.

Trifoil is a in development line drawing puzzle game that takes inspiration from Knot Theory and games like The Witness. There is a playable prototype with over 60 puzzles and 1-2hours of game play.

I'm pleased to announce that the prototype has just had a major graphics uplift and now included dynamic lighting, bloom and procedural effects. I think it looks stunning and is so much better then the flat color it was a few weeks ago. Please let me know what you think

Thanks, shader graph is really fun and an absolute time sink! The new version of Trifoil with upadate visual is out BTW! https://andrew-jones.itch.io/trifoil

Thanks again for checking it out. Glad you enjoyed it. The movement system will get  rework in the "polish" phase and should be  smoother. Its a good point about the twist puzzle being not as good as the knot ones. I found that it was harder to create interesting puzzle that were just twists. I'll take another long look at them.  Also good to know that the "ah-ha" moments were lacking in the later puzzles. Something I'll keep in mind for new ones and reworking the old ones. Email me at twentyfourhourpajamapeople@gmail.com and I'll put you on a list to get a steam key for the retail version of the game. But that's a while away (:

Thanks for checking it out!

Just released first version of my lock-down side project. Tetris Bane. Tetris Bane is a Tetris Clone with a deliberately frustrating set of blocks. There's also a classic mode for the purists, ultra-hard metal mode and even a chill mode. Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. Enjoy!

Tetris Bane is written with Rust using SDL and  is open source check out the code here: https://github.com/andii1701/tetris-bane
