Really fun little puzzle game. I feel like I would prefer not having the large countdown, because I usually died right when I was figuring things out. But that's a nitpick, awesome job.

This is exactly how I set up for a show with my band - yeet my guitar under heavy boxes in the van, and then stack stage props on whatever boxes we find and pray it doesn't fall.
Joking, this was a fun setup, loved doing a story about stagehands. I enjoyed the mix of narrative and minigame, I especially liked the lighting minigame. I did feel the dialogue  pacing dragged just a bit, it could probably be trimmed a little bit and still tell your story and themes.  Just a nitpick for polishing. Good job!

Really nice puzzle game, I really enjoyed it. The art and sound was all very nice. The puzzle design was great and built in challenge really nicely. Overall great entry, I could see playing a full mobile version of this!

What a unique idea! The peggle game was fun and well implemented, but I really loved the story and dialogue, especially the drawings of the cosmic entity. Great job!

Neat spin on the deck building genre!  Surprisingly straightforward to get. did run into the same problem others mentioned of not having enough ways to gain attack power throughout - maybe cards that give a permanent boost to your starting power? I also wasn't certain if there was a reason to fight, I did a run where I pretty much ran past everything, got to the bottom, but it didn't seem to recognize I'd made it. I was just missing off screen.  So yeah, maybe a bit of balancing is needed, but really did enjoy the gameplay loop!

Aw thank you, glad you liked it

Haha I've never thought about it that way!
She actually just missed the jam deadline (She was a late entry!) But she was on her way when I had to submit.

Ooh I see! I like the aspect of the mental health making it harder, and mine was definitely low. That's what iterating is for, I'm sure there's a great solution here. Thanks for taking the feedback, I genuinely enjoyed the game!

Thanks for the feedback, I agree! I used this game to learn Unreal and its lighting system is a beast. I have a lot to learn with that aspect. Thank you for playing!

Thanks for the reply - I actually did get that! I just really struggled with it, and I really like rhythm games. I couldn't find the correct key fast enough - usually in rhythm games you see them coming before you actually have to hit them, and it's not randomized so you can memorize complex patterns. I feel like if I had to just hit one or two keys correctly (and not 8) like the dodging minigame I could have been more successful, and feel more like I'm punching which is a short move. This felt more like an advanced combo move I think.  I hope that helps.

Nice start to what could be a very satisfying narrative experience, and congrats completing what you did!  Taking on all of the art and music in a solo jam is hard! I would love to learn more about the forest character and why she's giving her life for the family, and what's happening in the world they're living in. There's a lot to build on here, keep going with it!

Congrats on completing your first jam game! I actually played it all the way through and enjoyed it, more than I have some much more polished games. You had creative ideas for each boss and they increased in difficulty which was really cool to see. I saw someone already mentioned the Juice video and that was my first thought as well -adding feedback - sound effects, flashes when an enemy is hit, knockback etc. will go a long way to improve what's already there. There's lots of great resources for free music and sound that'll help you out. You have a great start, keep going!

Really cool idea to need to balance time between fighting and resource collection. I agree with some other comments I wanted to feel like I was moving faster, but I also felt like I wanted more time in a level to collect power ups. With some balancing this could be really neat!

Cute! Really nice take on the theme, and a nice break from the fast games. I really enjoyed visiting the party and getting to know people.

(1 edit)

Haha loved it. Feels just like working in a Bay Area tech office.
Also I absolutely cracked up when I called the second Mark B.
Great job

Loved the concept, especially with how using your bodies was part of solving the puzzles, and the story ending was fun. I can't say I was a huge fan of the music, but other than that with a bit of polish there's a pretty neat game here.

There's such a cool idea here, with the cards changing functionality every beat, but I was a bit disappointed there was no music in the game or that my cards weren't generating a song. I was wondering if maybe instead of placing cards per beat I can set up a whole measure of cards and see how they play out. Then you could also "play" the music that the cards play. Just a thought. Creative game.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it that you found it so touching!
Re: the painting level, I definitely wanted to add some control hints but ran out of time. It's definitely on the list for another update! Thank you!

Fun puzzle game, really nice drafting mechanic. I kind of wanted to choose whether or not I drafted a rode or continued on, instead of drafting everything at once. Also the music was fantastic, I loved how it progressed through the game. Nice job!

I really enjoyed this boxing RPG, creative idea! I did find the punching segments extremely hard - I'm not sure if I completed a single sequence - which was a bit frustrating when I was supposed to be training. But other than that I really enjoyed the game, story, and build up. Great job!

Thank you! It is happy, both in game and real life :)

I loved this! Really nice well written Interactive Fiction. The writing was great, very well paced and the art supported it so well. Great job!

So cute! I identify with the plot of the game haha. The art is adorable. Would love it if you fail a level you restart that level and not the whole game. Please finish it, there's such a cute game here!

Well polished silliness, had fun playing this!

Great game, really fun simple rogue-like, really impressive for the amount of time. I think there may have been a bug where sometimes it thought I was holding z when I wasn't or vice versa, and I would either move or shoot when I wanted the opposite. But I still really enjoyed the game!

I won't lie I wasn't expecting much when I saw this, but it was actually quite fun and I played a couple of matches. Nice job!

I loved this, one of my favorites so far! It was a lot of fun to explore the map and get a little further every time - especially when my first little lady bug was so sad lol. I'd love a full version of this.

Neat idea to capture timing in a boxing match! It took a bit to figure out - and I missed the dodging commands at first and was confused why I was getting hit even when I executed the counts. The game is really tough right now, I really enjoy rhythm games and this was a bit of a struggle. That said there's a super cool game here and with a little work on difficulty and UI/feedback I think it could be a super cool full release!

Really really great, well polished, I could sink a lot of time into it I feel like. Only thing is I wish I could undo choices before I click end turn - I accidentally approved I didn't want and I think it changed my game. But I could see this being a full release. Great job!

Great idea, reminds me of Lemmings and The Incredible Machine! I do wish it was a little easier to tell what the different tools were before you place them - maybe a description when you hover. I'd love to see this developed further, I miss these kinds of games!

I could see myself easily sinking hours into this, it's really nice. I appreciate you gave a non-timed mode, I prefer playing that way. It'd be col if when I restart I could retain my structure and modify it instead of rebuilding every time.. I also wish I could tone down the flickering visual effects. But overall great job, this feels like it could be full release, great job!

Really cool creative idea, I could see this expanding out to a full puzzle platformer! I think I managed to get soft locked but I was still really impressed with what I played. Great job!

This is a lot of fun, it has that "just one more" vibe. I died so many times and enjoyed it :)

Wow, big world! Exploring was fun. I did get lost pretty much immediately, maybe a mini map would be nice? Or maybe that's the point. Either way nice job.

I had a lot of fun playing this, I liked the variety of pickup options that made every run different. Really nice job!

Hey! This is such a cool idea and I love adding to the couch co-op  genre. This is so thought out and polished. We died the first run then saw we had acquired a hatchet and realized there were rogue-lite aspects!  I played it with my husband - trying to decide our survival gear and what we crafted together was fun, but I'm not certain doing a Match-3 is the right gameplay for co-op since you don't really do it together and trying to share a keyboard was a little uncomfortable. But there is a really cool game here - either a single player rogue lite match 3, or a couch co-op survival game with a more collaborative main loop. That all said this is such an impressive job for 4 days, awesome!

This was fun! The controls for the most part felt really smooth and polished and running through the level was really fun. I also really liked the weird psx art style. I agree shift would be preferrable to Ctrl for slide, maybe you could add that mapping? Nice job!

Thank you!
