Thank you (on all fronts)! Caltrop Core made it easy for me to put the flavor to mechanics. From there it was a matter of figuring out how to add some “punch” that’s appropriate to the setting and level of power you’re wielding.

One correction: the art is something I found royalty-free on Pexels. :) If I didn’t mention that, I’ll have to do so whenever I update the document. I am learning to draw, so maybe you’ll see my own artwork appear in a future product.

Thank you so much for saying so! That means the world to me, especially since it’s my first published game.

EXCELLENT game! Strongly recommend it. The gameplay is wonderful, the writing is clever and endearing, the art is beautiful, and it sounds amazing!

Submitted!

As for an additional submission, I’m thinking of a mash-up of I Saw The TV Glow and Kult: Divinity Lost that presupposes dysphoria is a side-effect of the Demiurge trapping you in a false world (and body).

I created a game about trans paladins fighting a Necromancer who weaponizes dead names. It seeks perfect, buuuut I published itn12 days ago (for the similarly titled “queer wrath” game jam).

Would it be alright of I still submitted it to your game jam? Here’s the game: https://ameliafetch.itch.io/the-necromancer

The page is live! Could you please have a look and let me know what you think? Is there anything else I need to do at this point? Can I start directing people to the document?

Thanks again for hosting this jam!

First draft complete! Tomorrow I’ll go back and punch it up.

Hi! I love the theme, so I want to participate in the game jam. It’ll be my first time making a game! Do I just write up something in Google Docs, do basic formatting, export as a PDF, upload to my creator page, and grab a public domain image to use as the “cover”?

Here’s what I have as a concept (for Caltrop Core) THE NECROMANCER You shed your skin and your name. They are dead to you. They are tools to him.

The Necromancer collects the names, bodies, and ideas we cast aside or rejected. He puppets these useless scraps, sending them to hurt their former owners, either directly or through deception.

You are a paladin: one who embraced your new identity. Your powers to burn and illuminate come from a burning desire to protect others struggling to be themselves.

As a paladin, your task is to destroy the necromancer’s constructs, find clues about the necromancer’s location and identity, and confront him.

Sadly, it looks like I won't get to play Ossuary. I tried changing the compatibility to Windows 8, reduce the resolution of the application, and disable high-DPI scaling effects (among other things), but nothing worked. It's unfortunate because it's clearly a clever game: I like the writing, the world-building, the weirdness, the mystery. And I got interested in the first place because Extra Credits introduced me to The Majesty of Colors

On the off-chance you ever remaster the game, I'd love to play it.

Thank you. This at least gives me some insight into what the problem may be along with some potential solutions. If I happen upon a fix, I'll let you know.

I'm as baffled as you are. I use Windows 10 and can't think of anything remarkable about my setup. My computer's a few years old, but it runs most games just fine. You're correct: I've restarted the program after adjusting the scaling settings, but the size of the program window doesn't change at all.

I'm unable to get this game to fill the entire monitor screen. I've tried both window and full size view. I've tried auto scaling, 2x scaling and 6x scaling. No matter what, it occupies a small box in the middle of my screen, which makes it too difficult to enjoy playing.
