Are there even plans for a part 3? I haven't completed all the routes yet, so if it's mentioned that there's plans for a part 3 I just don't know it yet. But I don't really see a reason as to what a part 3 would contain at this point. Maybe to see Faye's route extended, but even that ending seems fairly shut and done even if it was fairly ambiguously open ended as to what would happen going forth on the good ending.

Although I'll admit, being thrown directly from Faye's route into the angel one (I only just started it) was kinda jarring, and left me disoriented due to just getting the the static effect, and going right into an altered prologue. With all three previous endings giving us the credit scrolls and then straight to menu, I was super confused as to what was going on. I get it makes sense, since it would otherwise be hard to integrate the angel into any other normal replays, with the whole 'them not being present beforehand' but a warning would be nice as to alleviate confusion. Even if it becomes obvious what happened fairly quickly, a warning right after the static animation would've been cool, since I almost went to restart since I thought something had gone wrong, which I suspect would've forced me to go through the entire Faye route again just to play the other storyline. Not my proudest moment I'll admit, but a risk that could've been totally avoided had there been just a brief and short message for the player to read, right before the altered prologue kicked off.

Edit: Still haven't finished Cheri's route yet, but I'll be honest. After finishing Faye's route, it feels... Kinda wrong. So far it seems like what happened with Faye did in fact happen, which to me, as someone who's frankly liked Faye's route the most out of all the ones I've played, feels kinda wrong if I'm being honest. It feels like it sorta cheapens what happened with Faye. All the other routes are isolated stories, as such I don't feel like they cheapen every other story, but if Faye knows about the relationship shared with the player, it just feels wrong with them then just ending up with Cheri. I'll come back with my further feelings once I finish the route, but so far it isn't looking good. Mind you, that doesn't mean Cheri's route is bad, it just doesn't cater to my taste if this is the path it ends up taking. And if that is the way it's going, then I'll still just consider Faye's story over and done with at her ending as my own canon, since I fell too much in love with her for the player to just end up with Cheri.

Edit: 2 Alright. Just finished it, and I'm feeling a little more on board with this path now, especially with a planned part 3. And being able to say no to go to Heaven Home, and stay in Limbo like Faye asks of you, gives me hope that at the end of this journey, we'll still be able to choose to stay with Faye, even if the path is technically still called Cheri. Or I guess it's not called Cheri anymore since I did get the good end for Cheri, which does suggest that it's the end of her path and we'll be able to pick which path to go down on once part 3 is out. I sure do hope so, because while I do adore all of the female, agender, and bigender cast, Faye is absolutely my favorite out of the bunch. Especially the little extra person who's along for the ride on her path.

I do apologize for my excessive post here, I'll freely admit that I've enjoyed being able to get my thoughts down 'on paper' so to speak as I went along. For what it's worth, I did love every bit of this game that I played, and it was totally worth the asking price for the game, if not more if I'm being honest. I'd certainly have been happy to pay more for the game than I did, because this was absolutely a ride worth enjoying. And hell, I'll even go so far as to say that I was almost brought to tears multiple times along the way, which I frankly didn't expect based on when I originally played the demo back in the day while the Kickstarter was still happening. Back then the demo, while still looking damn fine, didn't look like it would take itself as serious as the finished product would eventually turn out to be. As I've now been proven thoroughly wrong about over my last what? 12 hour binge? So kudos on making a fantastic game, that not only managed to be incredibly entertaining, but to also break any and all expectations I had about the game going into the full release.

I'm glad it's been insightful! At the end of the day, my original post was primarily to offer insight based on how I personally experienced the situation as a trans woman. The fact that it also gave me the chance to make a suggestion to the developer as well, was just a wonderful case of feeding two birds with one scone, haha.

It's something most cis people just don't even consider, which is entirely fair! I can't blame cis people for not consciously thinking about how trans people view the world around them. Expecting that would be just as unfair as expecting non-blind people to actively think about the way blind people experience the world around them. Granted I'm not blind, so I obviously fall in the same category of not considering those things unless I'm actively given a reason to consider them.

And as the developer themselves said, they hadn't really put a lot of thought into the body/voice and pronoun situation themselves, as those things were initially added for the sake of development if I recall their post correctly. So the fact that those elements of the game can now potentially be used to tell a minor story of their own, that's just a happy coincidence born from me broaching the subject in my initial post.

Ahh, as if the developer hadn't already replied to me, saying that it was something they hadn't thought about, but would consider adding assuming they could do it justice without taking anything away from that plot, or the main plot of the game. But hey, good on you for showing that you're a bigot by immediately reacting hostile to the simple idea of adding the OPTIONAL choice of having a trans protagonist.  Enjoy being reported.

Glad to have at least brought thoughts on the matter to mind, and I do wholly agree that it's better to leave it out altogether than to just brush over it as if it isn't something important. Admittedly it doesn't have to be a whole massive thing, as long as it isn't just glossed over, because at the end of the day, being trans isn't our entire personality, haha.

And I do absolutely understand if it isn't something that'll make it into the game, because it's totally a big ask. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to playing more of the game as it's released! As it stands, I don't mind playing as a cis female protagonist. So I'm confident I'll enjoy everything the new story has in store for us! ❤️

By your logic, what then was the point even of adding the option? As I said, most trans people would rather play as a cis protagonist, than play as a trans protagonist that is still permanently in the same body as their own biological sex. Sure there might be some outliers that would play that way, but the vast majority wouldn't.

So based on what you're saying, is the dev then virtue signaling by adding a 'trans' option that everyone knows barely any actual trans people would use? I'm genuinely curious what you think since everyone seems to have enjoyed downvoting my genuine and most importantly non-hostile question to the developer, while yours have gotten plenty of likes. I'll bet everyone that disliked mine aren't actually trans, and are just salty cis people that don't want to even talk about trans people existing. They probably didn't even take a second to try and think through what I said in good faith. They just saw trans and disliked, lmao.

At the end of the day, I asked a genuine question to the dev. I didn't give them hate, I didn't throw slurs at them, I was respectful and non confrontational. So why else would people dislike my comment outside of being because they didn't want to hear anything about trans identities?

Hey there! As someone who played Oathbreaker back when the first one was still in development, I was excited when I got the email about you releasing this.

I'm curious though, so I figured I'd ask my question. You give the player the choice of pronoun as well as body and voice, but will there be a point in the game where those things will matter if there's a 'mismatch' so to speak? It's obviously a high fantasy setting with fairly strong and sophisticated magic, so would the player have the option to later change their body if their pronouns hint at the protag being trans? Say using female pronouns, but having a male body?

It's cool that the option to pick the body and pronoun is even there don't get me wrong, but as a trans woman, if I were to play as a trans woman in the game, (I.e having a female pronoun but male body/voice) not being able to change those attributes would only remind me of the situation I deal with on a daily basis, which when playing a game isn't all that amazing when I play to forget about the real world for a few hours. So if changing the body, etc. Isn't an option later in the game, then I just need to know so I can just pick the female body/voice and forget about being trans at all.

I just feel like that would be a waste of potential though if that makes sense? It's cool the option to be trans is there, but all I'm asking from the perspective of a trans woman is, does that option being there even matter a whole lot if there's no way for the player to actually 'transition' as it was later on? I'm sure some trans people would be cool without it, and can roleplay as being trans in a setting where making changes can't happen sorta like it was in the past in real life, but I know for a fact that a lot of trans people would be turned off by the option if there was no way to impact things later on since as I said was my case, it'll only remind them of their real life situation.

Sorry if this was a bit of a ramble, and if it doesn't make a ton of sense x3 I just sorta had to get my thoughts out, and figured I'd leave a comment with my thoughts on the matter :3

Edit: This is general input, but I feel like chapter 1 would be better off starting when you wake up after having slept. It feels like a more organic place to well, place the cut between the prologue and chapter 1. That's down to creative opinion though. It's just where I would personally put the cut, that doesn't mean my opinion is the right one. It comes down entirely to what the dev prefer.

So hey! I'll be honest, I didn't fully know what I was getting into with this game. I was already a furry so that part wasn't really anything new, but as it's talked about in the game too in some parts, a lot of furry media can be incredibly sexual. Sure this game did have sex scenes, but it focused significantly more on the story and characters than it did the sex, and as a result it turned out to be an incredibly wholesome experience all around, and I'm so in love with it. I haven't played all the routes yet mind you, but so far I've particularly loved the MtF route with Felix (Felicia). As a trans girl, I know from firsthand experience that the furry community is far more accepting than most other communities, but it was still amazing to see such a sweet route where the love interest slowly came to realize, that she truly felt so much better as a woman. I won't lie and say I didn't shed a few tears when she got her drivers license in the mail, because fuck that got to me on such a personal and emotional level that I couldn't even process that it made me cry, at least not before I was full on ugly crying. Makes me wish a tea like that actually did exist to be honest, because holy hooters that would be so much easier and 'complete' if that makes sense, than what options are currently available to trans folk. Makes me wonder what animal I'd turn into. My sona is a koala, but that initially only stemmed from me meme'ing around because I sleep a ton now compared to what I did pre-hormones, so it would be fun to see what the tea would deem to be the 'correct' form for me without any other influence to shape how I'd turn out. In general, I really  just wanted to leave a message saying how much I love this game, because damn how I love it.

Edit: On a side-note, I'd totally do a Carmen and live full-time as whatever animal the tea would make me. Assuming it would be widely available so I wasn't the only one running around and looking like an animal at all times of the day, haha.

From a lore stand-point, that's super cool. As a trans person based on our perception on gender and sex, it's cool to see someone who's build a whole ass universe where gender is mostly up to the individual themselves, rather than up to the general perception of society as a whole. I'm a trans woman, and although I live in a pretty liberal country in Scandinavia, there are obviously those who would always proclaim firmly that I'm a man who can't accept myself.

And although trans protagonists are becoming far more common, especially in the interactive fiction scene, I always feel like the protagonist being trans is either just handwaved away as being okay in the setting without any further explanation as to why that's the case, or them being trans just isn't mentioned at all which to me does take away some aspect of what it means to be trans. I'm by no means saying everything should have a big philosophical debate about gender and sex, but some games which even features sex scenes be they explicit or fade to black, often don't have the protagonist mention that they're trans to the love interest at all, yet they go on to have sex without it ever being brought up before or after the sexual encounter which honestly just doesn't make sense.

I can handwave away that all the love interest are magically attracted to the protagonist regardless of gender, but even if they are attracted to their gender, that doesn't automatically apply to their genitals. Some lesbians are more than happy to date trans women regardless of if they've had surgery or not, while some just aren't attracted to male genitals and therefor aren't interested in dating a trans woman (Which is completely fair, genital preferences aren't transphobic) and obviously that goes for gay guys too. So I feel like the protagonist not talking with them about it prior, and it never being brought up after the fact, makes the protagonist being trans feel disingenuous if that makes sense? Obviously we want a setting were our identity is accepted, but it's naïve to not at least make it a topic of conversation when it comes to relationships, because even if the setting is completely accepting of it on a social level, it can still very much make a potential relationship incompatible.

Even in a society where we're fully accepted, it's absolutely still something that's important and needs to be mentioned as a part of the story, because otherwise what's the point in making the protagonist trans? At that point, it just feels like it was added for the sake of being added. We like to pretend that we're no different than cis women, but at the end of the day we are different. Sure we're still the same in terms of our gender identity, but being trans inherently makes us different on a physical level which is something I feel like should be addressed more, especially in games that are romance heavy. It doesn't have to be the main part of the plot mind you, but an offhand line of dialogue where the protagonist tells the LI that they're trans would be enough if that makes sense? Like that I feel like when the LI is fine with it, they've accepted who we are, and established that it doesn't matter to them, which I feel like is a super important thing to establish in a relationship when one of the people in set relationship are trans.

Sorry for my massive long ass commentary on the status of trans protagonists in interactive fiction, it wasn't ever intended to get as long as it did xD. I mostly only ended up going on that tangent to show how much I appreciate your setting, due to how open they are as a society when it comes to identity and biological sex. It's refreshing that there's a deeper meaning behind why being trans isn't a big deal, and it's written in such a way where having those casual conversations about it aren't necessarily needed. It feels genuine, and not just like being trans is accepted just for the sake of making it an option, without any thought-out reason behind why it's accepted the way it is.

Alright, I've followed this project for quite a while now and I have a genuine question at this point. When you meet Perjin in the palace, there's mention of genuine body transformation, and it got me thinking. In a society that values pronouns as heavily as is shown in the game, will the genuine BTF allow the Crown to be trans? I know they technically can by selecting one sex, and using opposite gendered pronouns, but would a genuine BTF allow them to change their sex to match their identity? I didn't know if that was a thing since it wasn't mentioned anywhere as far as I'm aware, so I didn't want to take the risk of playing as a MtF Crown if some sort of transition wasn't a possibility, so I guess my actual question is if that is something present in the game? I get if it's too big of a hassle to write, but I guess my curiosity got the better of me leading to me actually asking about it. It just seems like something that would fit a setting like this, so even from a lore, if not game perspective, if it's actually a possibility for trans people in your universe?

Ooh, nice to see this finally being on Itch! :3

This probably won't happen, especially since there's voice acting in the game, and I'm totally understanding of that. I only just started playing, but I definitely wish it was possible to choose your pronouns. Obviously we still need the dick, and I'm absolutely more than fine with that. But could a female dragon protagonist be added? Other games handle women with dicks just fine, and it would hardly be considered a terrible kink for those that are into that. I realize it likely won't happen, but a girl can dream right? I mean, what lesbian girl doesn't have a little bit of dick-envy occasionally anyway? The dick is fine, but being called prince and king an such just feels weird man. Well nothing will probably come of this, but hey. I enjoy the game a ton so far, so I only brought it up as a point that would make me enjoy the game even more, so take that as you will. I'll absolutely say good job though, so far it seems like a lot of love and work went into this game, so even if I can't play as a female dragon with a massive dick, I'll definitely still enjoy the game thoroughly.

Don't take this as criticism of the story, but as a lesbian player of the game, I personally would've loved for the 'scene' in question with Ozara to have been rape as well. I'm a survivor of rape myself, so I would've been really happy to have that part of my past represented, which makes it upsetting that, that particular route is cut off from that option entirely. Obviously it's down to League to decide, but I just don't understand why that particular route didn't feature rape, compared to the other two when the abuse is entirely optional regardless of what route you go down. Then why can't the female romance route feature it just the same? Don't think too seriously about it though, I only brought it up since I personally didn't think it made sense, so I would obviously not take offence if my request was denied at all. It was just a thought that struck me, when I learned about the differences between the routes in terms of the severity of the abuse. And sorry if my comment is a little incoherent, I'm kinda high at the moment, so it might not all make sense to those with a sober brain.

Am I really the only Faye shipper here? I mean gosh. She'll totally be my first romance run on the full release for sure. So glad that goal was reached before I even found this gem of a game.

Gideon has always been cool with doing what others would classify as "minor" projects from what I've gathered. I've been absolutely in love with him (#nostraight because I'm sapphic as fuck ) since I first saw him in Teenwolf, and I've made it a point to always look at what projects he does. So seeing him in this made me hella excited.

God I know what you mean about the romance. Aya's route is really fun and just the right amount of sweet. I didn't realize the game was still in development when I started it, so when I got to the end of EP4 I was like "Wut?" It's killing me that I'll have to wait for the next episode, but it's worth the wait to see Aya's route to completion x3

Hey there! I saw you mentioning in one comment, that there could be a poly relationship between the king and the queen, or that there would be options to cheat. I was wondering if we could get a full overview of the possible relationships, so that we can make an informed decision on who we decide to romance. I'm asking because it isn't stated anywhere that you can even be in a poly relationship with the K/Q, and it would be nice to know whats available in general outside of just which characters can be romanced individually :3 Hope that isn't coming across as offensive.

And on a separate note, I wanted to ask if we can somehow use the Itch.io launcher for the NSFW version of the game? I'd prefer not having to manually download and transfer my saves every time a new update goes live. I suppose this also doubles as the same question for Ascension x3
