Nice work there. It has a lot of vibes reminding me of Donut County and katamary damacy for the low poly aspect which is realy nice. Short but funny experience in itself.

For improvement I think you should play a little bit more on the desyncronisation of the camera zoom and the tornado size like making the zoom lower and lower and then making the tornado grow back to the camera level or the opposite to indicate your reached a new step.

Fun concept that I weirdly didn't see yet on this jam. I love the low poly aestetic it looks really nice. Well done.

My only issue is that the dying animation feels weird because there is no visual transition between being alive and dead only a sound. I think stopping / launching the character would have been easier to understand because at first I was wondering if I died because I slowed down or because I hit the obstacle.

Thanks for your comment ! Yes we did not have time to make a good tutorial in the end.

Funnily enought 3 hours before the deadline we had no AI to play against because we lacked time to make it so couch co-op was almost the default option not an addition xD ! Glad we could make it in time still.

TYSM it took a lot of sleep time away to make it ^^'. The lack of a good tutorial doesn't help on the complexity but I am glad you liked it anyway :)

Yeah we now as it is our first game we didn't account for the tutorial time at first and were quite rushed to make it at the end. We plan to make a better version of it after the Jam review is finished. Thank for playing still and I hope you had an enjoyable time anyway ^^.

I would love to try out your game again if you ever made revision to this system ! Good luck on that I am sure you can do it as you already did a really nice job !!

11/10 Best game of the jam I have played so far and it will probably stay that way.

I love that mechanic and I have always dreamed of making a game about it sadly i did not think of it for the jam.

The ballerina and clockwork art direction to go with it is such a masterpiece.

The level design is immaculate too I trully canno't find any fault on you project well done !!!

The art and animation are so gooooood !!! I'd say it lacks a bit of audio feedback to feel more impactfull but overall it is a really solid game on every point (I love boby's voice a lot).

I hope you will continue making games and that I wiil be able to see a larger scale project by your team one day because it is fantastic !!

Welp I did not cook :'(.
But at leastyou did great game :)

Ayo this game is fantastic I love the aspect of having a spinning wheel to place you units it does add a lot to the strategic aspect of the game well done !!!

Well it was indeed a Super. Prestigious. ans Interesting. Narrative (S.P.I.N) game. Loved the approach and the DA.
However that spike hidden in the brick was mean don't do that >:'(.

Game art direction and music was soooooo good well done. One of the bests I have seen yet for this jam Id' love to see a longer version of this with a bit more story behind it.

In terms of gameplay tho it lacks a bit of something. I would say it feels a bit too rigid ? Maybe play a bit more with character velocity ? (Also the collision in the top of the shooting minigame stops you from hitting the monsters)

Small note : Why can't I bet my taxes instead of my life when making a deal with the devil :(

I am so sad because I love your spin on the idea and it is so creative and i'd love to enjoy you game but I can't seem to understand how to play :'(. My money keeps dissapearing while nothing happens and I don't know whats going on :O.

On another note the artistic direction is also really interesting so I hope you will keep making other game because you got someinteresting ideas there ^^

I see i do understand the vision for the tracks then and I love the approach (maybe you could have left the squary visual aspect as it is while rounding the collisions ?).

What I meant by free movement is that right now you can only go UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN and I feel like it clashes a bit with the spinning mechanic thats lets you freely rotate your mouse in any direction. I don't know if I am clear enought sorry I am quite bad at explaining my thoughts.

Still you made a pretty nice game well done ^^

(1 edit)

Loved the game it looks really nice and the concept is really attractive. Loved the failure bit really much. (Yes I am serious dear dev lemme be bad :'[ )

One small issue, my ears almost died launching the game because it was so loud xD

WOW.

Tysm for your comment it makes the invested time worth it ^^. Took us some time to get the idea and it lacks a lot of explanation because of time but I'm glad you could like it ^^.

Your game was really great too keep up the work !!

Game is really good and sooooo interesting visually. The trailer is fantastic !!!

I had a little issue where I used all my money on the items of the shop on my first playthrought and then when I launched the game I just couldn't play :')

TYSM !!!

Damn one of the best games I have tried on this jam so far!! Amazing visuals and graphics and the idea behind the spin mechanic is awesome. My only issue is that while I love the idea of having levels were you need to play without the ball the player feels a little too heavy on its own making the levels a little bit frustrating.

Overall a 10/10 experience keep doing such amazing games !!

The game is simple and enjoyable. Nicely done creative idea to use the spin to get boosts but I think the game would have gained a lot by making the tracks less squary and adding free movement instead of simply the x or y directions.

Loved the idea !! The use of the spin to acumulate speed is so creative too !!! The art style us super cute.
Sadly I lost my job well too many times today :'(  but I really enjoyed it.

If I had just one thing to add. It would be nice to have a visual indicator of the acceleration in addition to the character twinkling when it is fully charged as it is quite hard to estimate it rn.
