You really nailed the OVA feel with this, in visuals and dialogue! It felt like watching two episodes of something like Bubblegum Crisis. The core cast is really fun too. I hope I'll get to see Arika again sometime!

Thank you! I'm really happy you enjoyed reading it. Decker was a blast to use, and I definitely plan on using it again for another story!

Thank you so much! We're both so happy that you enjoyed it! ^^ We wanted to make something warm and comfy and perfect for the holiday season, and if it made you feel that way even in April, we must have done something right! Daisy Chain is a pretty big departure in tone compared to this and Vamp Me, but we're not finished with making comedic games yet! Thanks so much again for checking it out!

Oh, and we're happy that you liked the part with the crow so much; that was really fun both to write and to build in Ren'Py!

Couldn't find a D6, so I used a D10 instead. Gotten two different results so far, curious about finding more!

This was so lovely! Very very sweet. I never realized that Bitsy could be used to make a game like this before! Your writing is great too! I could really tell how much these two care about each other. Great work!

This was SO cute! Just finished my first playthrough and got Ending B. Elly is such a fun character to hang around, I really enjoyed her dialogue. It helped make the game feel all cozy. After looking at the hints, I wanna go back and try to see what happens in the other endings now...

Working with people who don't care to understand is the worst. Capitalism is the worst.

Really well written. The last line is a real killer. I hope we all live to see a day where we don't have to sell our souls anymore.

This was wonderful! The idea of sampling names like this is so unique, and the sprites are so cute! For some reason when I started playing, I thought that this was going to be a purely kinetic novel, so I was pleasantly surprised when the choices during the sampling part and the ending came in. The BGM also helps create a warm, cozy atmosphere. I just love the way you've taken a very relatable and empowering experience and made it into something magical!

I'm really impressed by how impactful this VN is with its short playtime. The script is strong, and the music (and occasional lack of) really amps up the dread. It helps that you've chosen something that's such an anxiety inducing scenario here; am I loved for who I am, or rather who others would prefer me to be? The visuals here are excellent, and you've worked really well within the Game Boy's limitations to make something very moody. I'm a huge fan of Game Boy aesthetics, so this was right up my alley.

All in all, a fantastic little title!

This is SO fun, I love this! Bell's expression when you pet her belly a lot is priceless

This was lovely! I love the way the poem expands when you click on the blue words.

Loved this! The art is super cute, and the characters are great! Lucy's interactions with 01 and 03 have been so fun to read. 03 is such a cutie! My GF thinks that if she were in Lucy's shoes, she'd have figured everything out, but... I think I'd be as clueless as her.

Really excited to start Episode II!

More and more people are saying that this is the smallest Sylvie has ever been...

We're both so happy you enjoyed it! ^^ Thank you so much for playing it!

I'm also happy you enjoyed the scene with the crow! It was a lot of fun putting that together. It was all because I was doodling in a spriting program at the time, and then I got the idea :P

With the endings, I didn't want to lock the player out of anything, because I wanted the game to be more laid back and casual. But there IS some special dialogue you get at dinner if you succeed at the cooking segment!

Thank you so much for playing it again! ^^

This is such a fun Halloween experience! The level design is just as challenging and clever as it is in the Prototype N demo, but all are now Halloween themed! There's even a wonderful homage to a certain game that you can see in the screenshots... that level was a LOT of fun! The enemies are super, super cute, especially the little cat-earred ghosts! And the music is great, matching the spooky levels perfectly. Stage 5's music is a real standout here. Just thinking about it makes me want to listen to the OST again!

In short, this is a wonderful, bite-sized MegaMan-esque Halloween treat. Great job to Arri and her team!

Thank you! ^^ I was pretty happy with the music we ended up finding too. It must have been an interesting experience choosing to watch the credits first... :D

This was SO cute! I think crows are cute in general, so I just knew it would be right up my alley! The story was so sweet, and I loved seeing the Crowchild (who I named Necky, after a Donkey Kong Country boss) interact with the human characters. Very charming dialogue!

The art style is so unique! It's so fitting how everyone has a sort of paper look to them, and the UI work is nice as well. Overall I'm super impressed by this, great job! ^^

I was grinning ear to ear throughout this one! The core concept here is so strong and creative, and the dialogue is funny enough to carry it.  Tornacense is such an immediately likeable character, and hearing his observations on different facets of human life in Paris was a lot of fun! He had a great dynamic with Kirby as well. I'd love to see more of these two in the future, not only to see where else Tornacense will travel to, but also to see them grow closer! And of course, whatever Lucifer has planned...

Great use of video throughout, by the way! I was really impressed with how it looked. The UI was also really neat, with the subscriber count and battery meter. I ought to go back and try out some of the options that I didn't pick the first time! Great work on this one!

Thank you so much for playing them! Both of us are happy you had a good time. ^^

If you like the idea of Girl Dracula, make sure to keep an eye out for our Winter VN Jam game! ;)

Well, this was one hell of a way to get me interested in MalViolence! The core story is so interesting, and the different ways it was conveyed helped keep me engaged the whole time; switching from research log, to journal, text message and video interview was a really good idea to keep things fresh. It also made it hard to put down! Even when I needed to do something else, I kept thinking, "I'll just see this next one!" ...and before I knew it, I just played through the whole thing! Dr. Deirdre was such a great protagonist, and it was great seeing her grow from someone more or less complacent, believing it was possible to reform STOP from within, to someone willing to take actual action against them. The climax of the story was so tense! Presentation wise, this is top notch stuff! The production values feel so high, I'm amazed that you were all able to complete this in a month! Fantastic UI as well. Great work to the whole team, and I'm looking forward to trying out MalViolence next!

Thank you! ^^ We're both glad that you enjoyed our stories!

My favorite ending was the third option during the final choice. It's so tragic, and it highlights Goldie's good nature very well. I felt so sorry for Mari, but... perhaps in some strange sense, it wasn't an entirely unhappy outcome for her.

All of them were well done of course, and each one feels like a suitable ending for the story. Very smartly written!

This one was a real surprise! The tone is quite different compared to a lot of other entries in the jam, and I liked it a lot! Mari is such an interesting protagonist; she's someone I sympathize with, because work life definitely isn't easy, while getting beaten down and giving up comparatively is. Goldie is also a well realized character; much easier to like than Mari, but you could see why Mari would be frustrated with her; keeping a positive attitude in the face of difficult circumstances, and actually willing to fight for change, someone stuck in a rut like Mari is might easily take it as an attempt to outdo her.

It's painful, and frustrating to see Mari constantly refuse to try and improve her life when opportunities start to present themselves, and I was impressed with how well she was written. Lastly, I really wanna compliment the sprites and the sheer amount of expressions they have. Both Mari and Goldie are so expressive because of that, and it really helps get you engaged with the dialogue!  All in all, great work! I won't be forgetting the endings to this one any time soon.

Read the first two chapters and loved them! Juliet's a really fun protagonist. Can't wait for chapter 3! <3

Simply amazing, on so many levels! The writing really build up an amazing atmosphere, whimsical, but somewhat sinister. I had to think through many of the choices very carefully because of this; even characters who might have seemed well-intentioned may have done me harm if I wasn't careful! The art is beautiful; such well detailed sprites and backgrounds! The music really helps draw you into the world as well. I also have to seriously compliment the UI, which simply looks amazing. Having the text displayed in nvl-mode on the side was such a unique choice, and it helps make it feel like a storybook.

I want to congratulate the team on putting together something truly special for this jam! You've all done some amazing work here! On one last note, I LOVE that log line! :)

That's exactly the voice that Sadie wanted her story to be read in! :D Both of us are so happy that you enjoyed our stories, thank you so much for reading them!

This VN was so cute and fun! I love cats, so getting to play as a cat person was great! :3 I ended up doing Priscella's route, which was really sweet. She's got a lot of energy!

The sprites and CGs are really impressive! Combined with the music, it really makes the game feel like an anime I'd watch back in high school. The chapter structure of the story really helped that feeling, it was like I was bingeing a series. Got me all cozy and nostalgic!

Great work! This was a really fun read!

This was outstanding! Very, very creepy.  The dream sequences kept me on edge, and how mundane most of the story was had me constantly waiting for the shoe to drop. And when it did, I wasn't prepared at all!

The sprites and backgrounds here are truly fantastic, and the very unique CGs during the dream sequences were very cool looking. And of course, I was really impressed by the writing; knowing how it ends really re contextualizes a lot of what happened prior.  I think I'll be giving this one another read through, and a recommendation to my friends; it makes for a perfect Halloween season read!

This was such a unique VN! The premise of speaking with a chatbot is interesting enough, but some the other elements involving the game itself (I don't want to be too specific and spoil it for first time readers) were very, very clever! The character design and art is great, but the standout to me is the sound design. The voice work was very well done, very creepy and unnerving!

Great work! You've managed to create a memorable and unique little project for this jam!

This write-up is based on the 1.4 demo. I gotta say, I'm really impressed!

This demo's filled with great character designs and clever level design! The main trio are all really cute, and I loved reading their banter. They all have such a wonderful dynamic together! The levels are really well designed, featuring some tricky enemies and clever puzzles. One in the ice temple had me stumped for a bit, but as soon as I figured it out, it was like a lightbulb turning on! Just a big, "Of course!" moment that was really satisfying. The music's another great element here, and I really like the track that plays in the ice temple. I also wanna highlight the graphics; I'm a huge fan of pixel art, and I love what's on display here. Gives me a lot of GBA/DS era vibes!

Overall, I'm a huge fan of this demo, and I'm very excited to see more from this! Can't get enough of those gals! <3

A pleasant surprise! This game was really refreshing; while there's some delightfully creepy monsters and scares, the true horror is in the day-to-day life, the all too relatable mundane that constantly wears us down. Who wouldn't risk a haunted house when it pales in comparison to everyday life? I loved the black and white visuals, and your use of sound was great!

Some parts here really managed to startle me. Love the art as well! There's some things in this that really surprised me in a good way. I had a really fun time going through this one, and I hope you plan on making more VNs in the future; you have a real talent for it!
