Thanks for your message. I’m happy to hear your idea, but could you outline it briefly here first before moving to another platform?

Hi, Winkle

Thanks for your message and for your interest. Your experience sounds strong.

At this stage, I’m specifically looking for a UK-based developer due to IP protection and legal clarity. I have experienced issues in the past with unauthorised copies of my games being distributed, so I’m being extra cautious with any collaboration.

Thanks again for reaching out, and I wish you all the best with your work in the future.

Regards, Marcus

Hi,

My name is Marcus and I’m a UK-based indie game designer and project manager with two Unity games currently released on mobile (Android / iOS). The indie game business is a side venture alongside my full-time job, which is why it hasn’t yet reached the revenue level I’m aiming for. My long-term goal is to grow the business and eventually move into full-time game development.

I’m now looking for a UK-based Unity developer to help port both games to Steam (Windows PC).

The games are:

Wild West Faro – a paid, casual card game for fun (not a casino or gambling game)

SwitchGear – currently a free mobile game with in-game advertising and purchases. For Steam, it would need a small adjustment to become a paid game with in-game purchases (no ads).

Both are complete Unity projects. The goal is not a redesign, but to create stable, playable Steam builds and ensure everything runs smoothly on PC.

I’m looking to move away from Android and Apple for the time being, because the ongoing development and maintenance required to keep games compatible with frequent OS updates is no longer financially viable. It’s consuming time, energy and money, and it’s making it difficult to focus on creativity or growth. I’m not closing the door on mobile forever, but I need to prioritise a more stable platform for now.

I’m ideally looking for someone who is either:

a student or early-career developer looking for real-world experience, or

someone who already has Unity experience and has shipped projects before.

Important: I’m specifically looking for someone who has experience submitting games to Steam, and ideally also has experience publishing to Android and iOS, in case we decide to update the mobile versions in the future.

If you’re interested, please message me with a bit about your experience, and include a link to your portfolio or examples of work.

I’m open to discussing development costs depending on scope, and I’m looking for someone who can work professionally and deliver a clean Steam build.

Thanks for reading.

Regards, Marcus
