Hi there!

the tiling (fixed positions)

I’m not really familiar with GlazeWM’s tiling behavior, so you may need to try out Jwno yourself to determine if it feels like GlazeWM or not.

simple beginner config file to start with

GlazeWM beats Jwno on this I guess 😅

a retile feature, that whenever there are tiles in the background to put them into the foreground, so I would have every window that is open into these tiles

I don’t quite follow you. Do you mean fitting unmanaged windows into existing tiling layouts?

a reproportion feature (put all windows that are in these tiles into the % occupation of the screen)

Jwno has a :zoom-in command. I’m not sure it’s exactly the behavior you described though.

I wonder if I should move these little questions to github.

It’s okay, I check both sides every now and then. But you may reach me faster via Github 😅.

Ha, good points. maybe I owe you some explanation.

Jwno itself is free and open-source, you can get the exact same executable files from the Github Releases page. The Itch.io listing is mainly used as a “sponsor link”, and the price includes extra tech support service.

Feel free to use what works for you. I run Guix and StumpWM at home, and I built Jwno partly because I wanted to make Windows more…bearable.

Thanks for checking it out :)

Oops, I never expected the first comment here would be a complaint about the price.

Have you tried it? What do you think about the features?

Jwno managing some Emacs frames, and it’s own REPL window.

Jwno is a highly customizable tiling window manager for Windows 10/11, built with Janet and ❤️. You can check out its features page and example config to see if it’s the right  toy  tool for you.

P.S. I was hoping to post it here after it’s indexed by itch.io, but the wait time is just too long and I’m going impatient 😅. As they stated in the quality guidelines, maybe a little exposure and some activities on the project page can help, I don’t know 😅. Thanks for checking it out anyway 🤘.
