Thanks for the feedback! I'm sorry the chain reaction mechanic wasn't made clear, I'll expand on it a bit:

You must chain together successful obstacle avoidance (jumping and sliding) as well as the speed boosts in order to get into a favorable position to win the race. If you chain just avoiding the obstacles with no speed boosts, you lose. Vice versa, if you blindly get every speed boost and end up so far on the right of the screen, you have less time to react and thus also lose. So you're essentially chaining together 2 different elements of individual chain reactions!

Very nice concept an execution, one of my favorite games to come out of the jam. I love the ambience, the music, and the entire combat system. I felt that the targets spawned too fast/too erratically so sometimes it was hard to get any damage off, but it wasn't impossible.

Very nice concept an execution. I liked the overall art direction and how it basically felt like you were playing in a painting.

If I had to critique, I would say that overall the gameplay speed felt a little slow. Moving in and out of cover, reloading, and the dragoons popping in and out. In contrast, the rate that the bullets would fly at you seemed very fast, so I was often jiggle peeking in cover.

Really good overall though, I enjoyed playing it!
