I like Sasha, she's a spiteful bitch but she keeps it real! I tried a bunch of combos to see if I could keep Mira alive, but was not successful. I'm assuming it's not possible? There's a nice little meta-narrative ( I think that's the word I want to use?) there with both player and character desperately trying to "win" when despite all their efforts it's ultimately futile. Cool game, definitely some stuff to chew on here.

Hoh boy, that was intense! I'm confused as to how Hina- uh- managed to do that, but I like that it's not spelled out at all. It feeds in so well into the overall disorientating nature of the story. Something I like a lot about the art is how the majority of pictures are either extreme closeups, or un-centered and farther away, it mirrors the writing in how intimately we are in Hina's mind and body, yet how dissociated she is from everything around her. Except for Blue of course >:3 This was fucked up and hot and I like it lots!
AAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THE ART SO MUCH!! The story's such a good encapsulation of the bottom rung of american retail/service work and how it wears you down. I worked third shift for a few years back in the day, and the anxiety of a problem customer that only YOU can deal with is so fucking real, god damn. Very excited to see the next two acts, I can't wait to see how wrong all of this goes!
I love the characterization of a vampire who considers herself as the lesser of two evils. Like yeah, there are worse things that could happen to you than getting your arm ripped open and your blood sucked, but that doesn't mean she's doing anyone a favor! I think it's funny how ember keeps getting drugged when it's so unnecessary. Mill and that other girl could have just told it to do whatever while sober and it wouldn't have changed anything. The sad reality of the sub that won't let itself say no. TWISTED STUFF! I likes it! Ooh also, I really like now the display names keep changing at the beginning before anyone is properly named. Very cute/ funny.
I absolutely adore the aesthetic of the dolls and the craft supplies, just seeing your progress pics in the discord had me excited to read this one.
You did a good job obfuscating the true nature of the angel. Ultimately my first assumption was right but you worked a lot of doubt into it as the story progressed!
Cece's ambiguity is fascinating, why does she care about keeping the angels alive if they're basically pests? Why does she care enough about humans to keep them around and heal them, but not enough to do it properly? I want to know more about her but I'm glad I don't. The story is overall stronger for keeping her inner workings a mystery.
I don't know if you plan to revisit this work at all, but if you're considering it I would encourage you to! I think with a bit more polish you could take this great VN and make it even greater!
A fascinating read. I feel my mind fighting over whether or not I "get it" and if there's anything to "get" at all. As much as I liked this and want to leave a comment, words are failing me. The art is crispy and hurts my eyes to look at but I love looking at it despite the pain. There's a Frank Sinatra song covered by Geordi Greep that I've been listening to a lot lately called "If You Are But a Dream". That song and this story have a connection I think.
I read this a week or two ago and it's stuck with me 'cuz of how much it fucking sucks! I mean that in the best way possible of course! It struck me how little Maddy seems to enjoy what she does, raping and kidnapping milfs with the same dull boredom one has while washing dishes. Just the least enthusiastic sadist I've ever read it's fucking pathetic. Errmmm the way you ran away when I tried to rape you made me feel kinda bad so I'm gonna kill you now lol :<. TWISTED. SAD. UTTERLY PATHETIC AND I DON'T FEEL BAD FOR HER! It's called "Banality" and holy shit that is EXACTLY what it is!
So many intense, heartbreaking moments! I was close to tears when her wings fell off, and was elated when even the regrown misshapen ones could still be used. And I ADORE the UI decoration and how it mimics the fairy's mental state, very clever storytelling technique! I really felt her rant at the beginning about wanting to not have to deal with humans. Really hit on the marginalized person experience well with that one.
