Hi everyone, and welcome to citysprig.
I'm starting work on a game I've wanted to make for a loooong time, and I'd love for you to follow it from the very start.
The short version: you don't place buildings or zone anything. You run the public transport, and the town grows by itself around the network you build.
This comes straight out of the games I love most. I've put countless hours into Transport Fever, Mini Metro and Cities Skylines, and the part I always enjoy the most is the public transport: planning the lines, connecting neighborhoods, watching people actually use what I built. So I decided to make a game that is only that part, the one I love, without the busywork around it.
Everything is low-poly, soft and minimalist. Calm to look at, cozy to play.
How it works: the town sprouts on its own. Roads wind outward, houses appear, small neighborhood hubs of shops and leisure form, industry settles on the edges. Your job is the part most city-builders skip over, which is moving people. You draw bus, tram, metro and train lines, place and connect stops, and the better you serve the town, the more it grows.
And the people are real little travelers. Each resident has somewhere to be (work, the shops, some leisure), and you actually have to get them there. You can watch someone leave home, walk to a stop, board your bus, ride across town, step off near their destination and walk the last stretch. If your lines don't connect where they live to where they want to go, they wait, and their patience drains.
Where it's at (very early). A lot already works:
- Procedurally generated roads that curve naturally, with the town growing as you serve it (in progress)
- Logical zoning: housing everywhere, small mixed shop and leisure hubs, industry pushed to the outskirts (in progress)
- Residents with real destinations, shown by color, traveling door to door (walk, board, ride, get off, walk)
- Several transport modes: bus, tram running down the middle of the road, metro on its own curving lines (in progress)
- Place, move and delete stops, and draw multi-stop colored lines
- A patience system, a coverage map, and time speed controls
What's coming next:
- Transfers, so people can change lines mid-journey (the big one)
- An economy and a satisfaction score
- Time of day, weekdays and rush hours, with people commuting and going out on weekends
- Densification, where well-served buildings grow, so a real city center emerges where you invest
I'm building this solo and in the open, and I'm still learning a lot, so any help is welcome. In particular I'd love to hear from:
- Anyone who enjoys giving feedback on concept and direction
- Playtesters for when the first builds go out
- Low-poly 3D artists (buildings, props, vehicles)
- A UI/UX designer who is into very clean, sober, minimal interfaces
- A sound engineer who loves cozy, satisfying sounds, the soft clicks and chimes that make a calm game feel good
- Anyone making calm, ambient music

Hi everyone,
I'm currently building a team of passionate horror lovers to work on a remake of the classic game : Obscure. This project is very close to my heart because it's one of the games that impacted me the most growing up, and I’ve been dreaming of bringing it back to life... anyway!
I’ve been in contact with the original producer of Obscure, and he’s shown interest in letting us move forward with the project. He’s open to the idea, and even supportive of it in principle, but let me be clear: nothing is signed yet.
He’s very protective of the game’s legacy and image, which is completely understandable, so we want to treat this remake with the utmost respect. He’s willing to discuss and follow our progress, and ideally we’ll present him with a demo or vertical slice once we’re ready
This is a passion project, there’s no timeline pressure. We’re moving at a steady, healthy pace with one clear goal: reviving the Obscure spirit for a new generation.
Current roles we are looking to fill:
-
Lead Developer / Programmer (UE5)
-
3D Artist (Ideally someone who loves dark, realistic horror environments and character design)
-
Concept Artist
If you're French-speaking, that’s a plus! I’m based in France and it makes communication easier, but everyone is welcome as long as you're passionate and collaborative. This is currently an unpaid project, but if it gets funded in the future), revenue would be fairly shared based on contribution.
If you’re a fan of horror, love Obscure, and want to create something raw, immersive, and true to the early 2000s survival horror spirit — let’s talk! Reply here or add me on discord (adanbrdd)
Thanks for reading!
Hey!
We’re a small team (of two) currently working on a Roblox game that mixes Valorant-style gameplay, some Fortnite mechanics, and the some "fashion" system. I dont't know how, or what for, but we can figure it out together.
Yeah, it’s chaotic — but it works. I mean... we want it to work !
We already have:
-
A first map (almost finished)
-
A working UI/menu system
-
Early gameplay scripts and mechanics
What we need now is someone with server-side experience on Roblox to help fix sync issues, improve overall game smoothness, and make the whole thing feel more solid and responsive. Basically: someone who knows how to make a game feel clean and playable, especially in multiplayer.
This isn’t a from-scratch thing — we’ve got a solid base. We just need the tech brain to push it forward.
The project is unpaid for now, but we’re open to revenue sharing when we launch. If you're down to work on something original, fun, and a little insane — drop us a message!
