A fellow hoard survival game! Alright!

That was addicting, the game play is fun and the mechanic of using light to heal is a unique twist!

The cost to light the fires though is a little high, and it means that dropping below 25 hp is an automatic game over, might be better if you made them free but one time use, that would also have the benefit of pushing people to explore the map more, and a sense of tension/relief when you finally find a new fire!

Very fun game though, I'm gonna dive back in for another run! xD

Like others have mentioned as well, I didn't understand the dying to progress mechanic until I read the comments here. Mabye a quick bit of text before the next run, or not returning you to that start menu to give more a feeling of progression rather than making the player think they're restarting.

Also my potato of a laptop was struggling to run the game, which was odd because its a static scene so it shouldn't have been too heavy to run. Might be worth checking the profiler to see whats eating up the most frame time to make it a bit smoother on lower end hardware.

Overall though I enjoyed the experience, and seriously the art style! I would play a whole rpg if it looked like this!

The art style is also great, the character textures are hilarious and I love the unshaded/vibrant color aesthetic of the world!

On thing I noticed though with the info screen, if you're moving the mouse while closing the menu the camera snaps quite jarringly.  I haven't used Unity in a while but I think this might be an issue when changing the lockState of the cursor,  maybe try setting the position of the mouse back to center manually before returning control back to the camera?

Overall great game though, enjoyed the experience, good job! :)

It's A/D to move left and right, and spacebar to jump.

I was trying to go for the same lighting effects as you did but you did them much cleaner! Good job I really like your game!
