Thanks so much that’s great to hear! Its very hard lol I’d argue one of the hardest in the jam

Also about pressing R to restart, I agree and if I had more time I def would’ve added it

Thanks for playing!

Yep, sorry about that! It does take a lot of practice but it’s not impossible!!

Thanks so much for playing and congrats on an amazing score! I definitely hear you on the enemy issue, I gave them a lifetime that increases the longer u survive, but ended up running out of time before being able to make something like a healthbar or indication to the player. They also spawn a little bit offscreen, I think in the future I will make everything (goals and enemies) spawn inside camera bounds and also make the camera follow the player so the space doesn’t feel so binding. I think more space would only make the game more fun while keeping it challenging. Let me know if you have any other ideas!

Love this fast paced game

I like the UI buttons but the goalie was a bit too fast!!

Nice animations

Thanks! Theres a retry button in the top right of the game over screen

really nice visuals!

Really like this idea its very unique and pretty fun, the controls were a bit too sensitive though. I think i got the highest score!

That's actually a great idea and someone else said something similar, may add it after the jam!

Appreciate it! I'm really proud of how it turned out, its simple but hard!!

Thanks for playing! I feel like having the ball free to move off screen is important so the player keeps control of it more, but thanks for your suggestion!

After developing this game I've had enough practice to get pretty good at it!

Thank you so much! This is great to hear as I was concerned whether the controls would be too hard. They do take a bit of getting used to but I ended up liking the feel in the end

Thanks!

Controls do take a bit to get used to, but honestly I feel like once you do get used to it its much more flexible for tricks

This is one of my favorite games on here! I like the visual style and the idea. The simple dash mechanics works nicely.

The visuals are very nice and aesthetic, but I wasn't really able to do much to the ball. The bots kept it away from me lol.

Very polished and aesthetic, visuals are perfect! The goals are a bit too high tho, its possible to get them but you just have to get lucky. Movement is a bit rigid

Love the visuals and audio but I feel like the movement is very slow.

Love the gameplay and music, maybe you can add more types of attacks in the future!

Love the visuals but the movement is completely random!!

I love the idea of wonky movement with juggling, but I didn't really know how to move the player. All I could do was flail around lol. I actually also went for a keep up game but a different spin. Check it out!

Very nice simple approach at a keep up game! I really like the animations but sometimes hitting the ball doesnt work even when im directly under it. Would also be nice if there was a quick restart.

I also went for a keep up game if you want to check it out!

The movement of the leg is a bit wonky on purpose, it takes a bit of getting used to but it isn't random. You can rotate it by moving the mouse in a circular motion.

Thanks for playing, it's pretty challenging!

I like the chill vibe and the movement was a little hard to get used to!

Wow, that is great to hear! I wasn't sure if the gameplay would feel balanced and fun, so hearing this from a lot of people is very reassuring!

I didn't really add an end to the game, you just keep going and see how many biscuits you can get!

Thank you!

Thanks for playing! Great to know the mechanics feel good!

Thanks for playing! I wanted it to just be the player trying to get as many biscuits as possible without getting caught, so I just let the game loop keep going endlessly.

Thanks for playing! Yes I wanted to make it dark because it was a stealth game, sorry if it was too dark!

First of all thanks for playing!

This game was actually originally supposed to be a power management game for the Kenney Jam about a month ago, but the scope of this game ended up being too large for such a small jam.

Then this ended up being a heavily rushed product for the Player2 AI NPC Jam, so there are a lot of things to fix lol.

I am having trouble being motivated to work on this game for the next AI jam, so this feedback is actually very helpful!

I wanted to make the villagers have their own "narrative" and interpersonal relationships powered by the NPC AI, and the player could also interact with villagers to build relationships. Then in the council those relationships are meant to be put to the test, rebellion being the worst outcome. I had to heavily simplify the scope of the AI relationship system because I spent a lot more time on the combat to make the game actually fun.

I am adding a conversation system currently so the game is going closer to being an RPG.

Again, thanks so much for playing this broken game lmao and I'm open to any more feedback and thoughts. I really think this game has potential but it'll take a lot of work

Hey, thanks for mentioning me! I really think this game has potential and will come back stronger next jam!

In your judging would you still consider a game that has lots of potential with the idea but requires more time and effort to be done right because of the scope?

I worked a lot on the combat side (a bit too much) to make it fun so the social system / AI part was kind of last-minute. However if this game does well in this jam and people like the idea I will definitely push to make it a product that people will actually want to play, combining the juicy combat with AI-powered villagers that you actually talk with and have interconnected relationships etc. I'll probably make a whole narrative too...all of this for the next jam and some motivation from this jam would help a lot!

lol thanks for playing!

Yeah this game is a really early prototype and I plan to make it a very polished and enjoyable indie game for the next jam. I really think this idea can do really well, I just didn't have time to package it properly as the scope was too large for just a couple weeks.

Npcs will come up and talk to you, asking for power. You can give them power with the power staff (item slot 2) from your own supply gathered by killing enemies.

Every time a villager dies at night, a council scene will commence, where the AI villagers will discuss their grievances, praise, etc., depending on what you did as a leader and how much power you disrtributed. The villager factions eventually decide one by one if they will rebel or not.

Thanks for playing!
