I am glad you have enjoyed using APS, and thanks for bringing it back to my attention.  Whilst jogging my memory with regards to your questions I came across the following:

and realized this should be possible with APS.  A gui setting for global repulsive force and a global force cutoff combined with APS's other features would open up a whole new level of emergent behavior.   Thanks also for pointing out the deletion issue.

I think a new update is due.

Hi Michael, thanks for reporting this issue.  The error message seems a bit odd as the atomic operation is on shared storage.  I'll investigate further and get back to you.
