I’m glad you liked it! We definitely wanted it to be tough, but I think we could have done a few things to ease into the difficulty better. Additionally, I would have liked to improve overall visual clarity of what’s going on with the bullets to make it more fair.

Thanks for playing. I’m really happy you enjoyed it! That’s a good point about the time passing. We should add a small progress indicator or something of that nature. Or maybe the day only passes if you beat the boss. We’ll take a look at that for our post-jam polish :D

Thanks for playing it and leaving some feedback! We definitely want to work on making it more intuitive to understand, and add more visual feedback to things. For the pixel art I essentially expanded upon a small asset pack and interpolated the style where I could to create the characters and other elements.

I’m seeing a lot of comments about the screen size being cut and I’m wondering if that’s just due to bad placement of the UI elements when they are not raised up. I certainly learned a lot about Godot UI stuff this jam though!

Yeah, some of those issues are definitely things we wanted to polish, but ran up against the time limit. There is one thing that we missed though. I think the UI looks like part of the game is cut off, but in reality it’s just meant to sit at the bottom out of the way. I think redesigning it to not look cut off is a good start for some post jam polish!

Perhaps you missed the inventory button which raises the menu up? Regardless a future full screen option would be nice. We also should have spent more time on more obvious controls and UI design. Lots of lessons learned for future updates + other game. Thanks for the feedback :)

Ha, yep all good feedback. Thank you! We definitely wanted to add some stuff like that and balance things but we ran short of time. A lesson for better planning next time. Also, hopefully we’ll incorporate some things similar to what you suggest in a post jam update version :)

I did have render issues with the model in a model. Not sure how / if I can overcome that in picoCAD or not.
