I assume they just mean games where every important mechanic is conveyed through text alone

Looking forward to using it

What's funny is that I'm actually thinking of making text based games lol

Rather unfortunate but yeah

Why on earth would they do that, them being available from the start is objectively good.

This comment section is so brain dead it hurts.

Stop calling this a Minecraft clone or "just minecraft with shaders and mods" because that's as accurate as calling a Battlefield game "just doom but multiplayer" or calling an apple a clone of a slice of bread since they're both edible. It disheartening to me that people have this low of a comprehension of the fact that things can seem vaguely similar while being different.

Oh, ok, I concede.

That wouldn't really work, that would be between 11 and 44.

Thankfully you can emulate one with 1d8 and a coin

I'll look into this, it seems promising.

I noticed it being gone for Android too. That's unfortunate.

If nothing else, I’m definitely going to use the scene mechanics here. I’ve been meaning to try using Iron Valley to write out a screenplay (basically like a tv series), and this is a godsend.

Thanks :)

That theme would be okay, yes. I’m quite interested in seeing what you do with it.

  • While I went into this with Ironsworn and Delve in mind, submitting content for the other expansions sounds okay, so feel free to.
  • If you want to include oracles, that’s totally understandable and okay. I didn’t include them in the description because they weren’t on my mind at the time of writing it.

That would be useful, yes. I’ll try to post a reminder on Reddit, as I don’t have Discord.

Clever.

That sounds awesome, I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Not an official minimum, no, you can use whatever length is ideal for you.

English is not necessary, no. While translations are appreciated, it's more than okay to submit projects in any language.

That makes sense, though I could see people’s confusion.

I’m glad to know that people find it interesting; and I can see that connection, yeah.

How do you mean?

I created a small random table for the Root Around move that allows the player(s) to mechanically explore their town (going to shops & restaurants, visiting helpful townies, finding inspiration, etc), and I wanted to share it. I hope people find it helpful if they use it.

I believe it's on Turbowarp.

I noticed that a few people have difficulty with the suit domains in 1PSE not providing enough information to work with, so I put together lists of alternative domains for each suit using a few sources (primarily Peach Garden Games’ Carta).

The final options for each suit were included with Ironsworn specifically in mind, but should work with other systems.

  • Hearts (Cups): Water, healing, kindness, emotion, love, or health
  • Clubs (Wands): Fire, ambition, courage, movement, growth, creativity, or momentum
  • Diamonds (Coins): Earth, stillness, reality, wealth, materiality, or supply
  • Spades (Swords): Air, thought, calculation, fear, intellect, trials, or spirit

Hope this helps someone.

Thank you :D

I hope you have a nice day.

Do you have any suggestions on how to narrate the very beginning of the story? I always have difficulty with this, and its not detailed much in the rules. Thanks in advance if you do <3.

Interesting play through :)

I’ll be sure to check the game out

I haven’t really seen this in a lite rpg before, it’s an intriguing idea.

I love this! I’ve played a few in game months over short sessions, and it’s been a pleasant time. One question though: task complexity. For each of the four types you give one or two options for its complexity. I’ve just been using the fiction to determine how long it should take, but is there a specific method for determining it?

This is adorable <3

Also, I love the idea of using the time for resolution; clever.

Thanks :)

Thank you, that should be helpful. I’m guessing everything else I said is correct.

Hey, I have a quick question. The how-to-play Main Resolution is a little confusing. I think i understand it, but I want to be sure; this is what I gather from it.

  1. Director draws a theme card at the top of a scene.
  2. Players draw up to 5 action cards (the exact number is their choice).
  3. Director draws an event card and interprets it.
  4. Players can use any number of their 5 action cards and roll a number of dice equal to the points they assigned to the Archetype that applies to the situation (rolling just 1 die if they don’t have an appropriate archetype); cards determine options, dice determine success in those options.

This is what I gather from the rules, is that correct? I know it’s in beta, so it might change, but I wanted to check :)
