There are adjustable keybinds in the options menu!

Glad you liked it! This was my first bossfight I've ever coded so I wasn't sure if it would be fun, but it looks like it is, judging by many of the comments here!

Amazing game! By the end I felt like a god! I made sure to get every upgrade so I could annihilate the Count of Down in a matter of seconds. I normally don't like top down shooters, but the gameplay in this one was so fun! I even spent a few days spinning around with the laser gun, max fire rate, and max ammo, which was very fun. Great job!

Yep! You can't just play hyper-aggro, you have to dodge the attacks too! It would be boring if mashing all the buttons lets you beat it

the 2 minute finger break is smart, most clicker games should learn from this dev lol

The thumbnail is beautiful! It took me a little while to realize that you kill ghosts by walking up to them, not pressing spacebar lol

I got a perfect score once! I guess it makes up for the 25 tries it took for me to beat level 10. Fun little game!

Really hard and really fun! Is it intentional that some enemies don't give you green time projectiles? I could dodge the bullets easily, but the enemies kept deciding to not give me more time.

Nice game! I wish when you ran out of stop time, it would automatically unfreeze you instead of killing you. Also in some levels I found myself waiting for 10 seconds to get the right cycle, so maybe if you could speed up time that would be nice (maybe even pause time and go back, but that's definitely overkill for a jam game)

Nice sound design and music! I wish you got infinite attempts at each level instead of it killing you after 3 deaths, and restarting your run after 3 level fails, but that's just my preference. Fun game!

It is intentionally very hard! I love how bossfights in silksong are overwhelming at first, but as you do more attempts you get better each time until you finally beat it (which feels very satisfying), so I tried to make my bossfight feel like that.

practice makes perfect!

Really good pacing! Except at the end, when I wasn't able to buy the final gem collector upgrade. I was kinda sad :( Also nice art

I think the level design could use some work. Some of the jumps are impossible without coyote time. The point of coyote time is to let the player still make a jump if they pressed it a little too late, not to be the intended solution for really far jumps (unless its a precision platformer ig). Cool mechanic tho!

Really addicting gameplay loop! Two pieces of feedback: When you pick up alot of coins, its really loud because so many sfx are playing at once. I'm not sure exactly how to fix that, but I'm sure there's a way. Also, I feel like it was really hard to control once I got all of the speed upgrades. Those were helpful at the beginning, but later just made it harder.

Cool game, but I kept clipping out of bounds with my dash, and since there is no restart button I would have to wait 40 seconds for the timer to kill me.

Some suggestions: Increase the sword's hitbox, because it's pretty hard to hit enemies without being hit by them. Also I can just sit in 1 spot and spam, which somehow kills all the enemies even when 10 swarm on me at oncee, so I would try to figure out a way to make that brainless strategy not be the optimal one

Cool game! Crazy that you made 6 bossfights in 4 days lol

Amazing atmosphere! Really nice art style and I was very disturbed by the end! I played it again collecting only the first sheep, cause I wanted to see if that would give me a different ending but it didn't. Also I tried quitting out, which was fun. Btw this is my favorite game so far! I gave you a perfect rating!

That was really fun! I especially loved the last 2 levels that gave you so many feathers and ducks! Also really creative concept, I would have never thought of that!

Nice minimalistic art style :)

don't have one :/

Is there a way to speed up time? As the knight guy, I just sat on the button for 30 seconds so when I switched to the slime his gate would be open. But then his gate closed right after? I think I didn't understand the gameplay, but with a proper tutorial, this concept could be really cool! Also fire game name!

Really cool idea! Unfortunately I don't have an f5 key, so I couldn't restart a level. I do have a fn key, but fn + 5 didn't work. Maybe make restart R? I wish I could've gotten all endings, but that would mean I would have to somehow not drop a single sheep for all levels in a row, which I don't think I can do lol. Loved the story and art!

Nice game, especially since it is your first! I have a few suggestions though: When you shoot, it looks like you ADD a given velocity to the player. This means that if you jump and shoot right after, you get crazy velocity, and if you fall and shoot, you get barely any velocity. Instead you should SET the player's velocity, that way they always get the same speed regardless of how and where they shoot. Second, the fullscreen doesn't scale assets. You can mess around with the Godot project settings: Display -> Window -> Stretch Mode = Canvas Items or Viewport (each have their own advantages and disadvantages). Finally, whenever I shoot, the bullet goes slightly above where I aimed. I'm not sure exactly why, and I would have to see your code to fix it myself, so I'm just letting you know about that.

Again, great job on your first game! Keep creating more!

Edit: If you have any questions on the coding tips above lmk

My reaction time is so terrible, so I am by extension terrible at this game lol. But for the 4 levels I beat, I really liked it! I really wish there was an easy mode so I could beat it, because it was really fun! 5/5

I really wish there was keybinds. I had to quit in level 15 because I can't make my pinky press the shift key. Interesting concept though! And the level editor is so cool, I have literally no idea how to code that lol

Fun concept! Made me laugh when I blew up the guy (on purpose) for the first time! One critique I have is that you introduced a couple mechanics near the end, only to use them once or twice. I would like to see them expanded upon!

Exactly what I was aiming for! The boss is supposed to be hard and overwhelming at first, but as you do more attempts get easier, and be really satisfying when you finally beat it! Just like bossfights from Silksong

This art is beautiful! I saw someone in the other comments recommending you to implement a bomb cooldown, which is probably a good idea if you want to turn this into a full game, because the boss was really easy to beat, by just spamming bouncy bombs. But it was fun seeing how chaotic they all were! I just think for a full game, it would get old if every bossfight was cheesable that way. Also, I do think the pacing could use some work; the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th bombs felt like they were all given to me really quickly, but I understand that it's a jam and time is limited. And, I think the amount of stuff you coded into this game makes up for it. Great work!

I'll let the artists know! They both cooked so hard :)

This is my first time programming a bossfight game, and my second game (most of my team has more experience than me tho), so I'm glad it turned out pretty well! It wasn't perfect, and I'll take all the feedback I can get to make the next bossfight even better!

Dude the artwork here is amazing! It is really hard but pretty fun! I'm not sure why there is 3 different weapons though as it appears they all do the same thing...?

The scope of this is insane! Amazing art and soundtrack! One piece of constructive criticism I have is that the pipe minigame felt harder and longer than the other minigames. I'm not really sure how you would nerf it though.

I think restarting without all the abilities each time you die made it less fun for me. Really nice art and music though! The atmosphere is so good

I love this game! The menu effect is super cool, the gameplay modes are super cool, and it is really fun! I did 3 runs, and my best score was 209. 5/5

Absolute cinema. Took me 4 tries lol

This was quite fun! I got about halfway through floor 3 on my second attempt. Really nice music and sfx!

Really nice puzzles! I love making a bridge with all my skeletons. I was really enjoying it until I had to get candle 5 after 6, and I got softlocked into lighting candle 2 and I didn't feel like going all the way back to the witch to restart.

The trick to dodging the bricks is to keep moving as much as possible so they don't fall on you. Then just focus on the brick stack, and jump at the right time! It is definitely supposed to be hard though. Also thanks for the feedback! Next jam I'll definitely include music/sfx volume settings
