Hi there. We're a noisy instrumental band from the north of England called 65daysofstatic. If you have heard of us, it's probably because we did the infinitely-long soundtrack to No Man's Sky a few years ago. If you haven't, it is because we are commercially unsuccessful to a heroic degree.
Since No Man's Sky we have been experimenting with procedural music for our own ends. Our current project, Wreckage Systems, is an infinite music broadcast. It is streaming live RIGHT NOW if you wanna tune in.
Because we are shortly upgrading the system to Version Two, we wanted to create an archive for Version One. The end result of this was that we adapted the software to be usable by anybody, and turned it into an app. Now anybody who wants to can run their own infinite music stream! Right now, the only way to get access is via the project's Patreon, although we will eventually make it individually purchasable directly through itch.io. Does this count as a new release? The whole Patreon option is built into itch.io, so we hope so...
