I finally got it to work, though. I tried downloading it on both Chrome and Firefox in the past and kept getting a weird browser file limit error. I just tried again via chrome and was able to download it, unzip it, and add it as a non-steam game. So not sure what changed, but I'm not complaining. I'll just use the site instead of the app for the Mega downloads now.

Yeah, that's not desirable. I finally got it to work, though. I tried downloading it on both Chrome and Firefox in the past and kept getting a weird browser file limit error. Understandable. That's all I can ask for - is looking into it when/if you're ever able to. Thank you. When downloading the itch app on the Steam Deck and downloading files off itch, it downloads perfectly fine. However, any files via mega, web browser, or any other 3rd party links are not compatible.
Understandable. I know there's loads and loads of text to look over when it comes to these games.
At the end I couldn't remember what it was that bothered me, but I'll keep note of that option when I continue.
You're very welcome. I think something like that would be really helpful.
That makes sense. What about having separate tabs inside of the gallery itself, instead of the main menu?
I definitely did. The games potential is massive. excited for the completion of it.
7/10 so far, I'd say. The English translation is bearable(which is more than I can say about some games I've played), but definitely needs a touch up. The artwork is pretty decent. There's something annoying about the page transitions, like unnecessary pages or how they transition... I can't quite put my finger on it. A way to know, like an icon or something, that you're on a portrait/poster picture the you can scroll on would be a nice addition. I like the aspect of the replay gallery and the songs with the option to turn the notification off. I think it would be better if there was a normal photo gallery and then a bonus photo gallery for the "secrets" found and such. A 'hide text' button is always a great feature to add. The idea of the plot regarding telling your story is intriguing. Kinda excited to see where that goes. The tutorials kinda seem like common sense, but would prob be really beneficial for someone playing their first VN. Although, I think some may need moved or re-implemented later in the game, i.e., the 18+ item tutorial since right now you don't even get close to that. Definitely has potential, though.
For myself(being on the Steam Deck), I had to go into the games save folder and copy the save from the 1-14 over to the 1-3 empty game saves folder. I had 2 specific saves from the end of ch 14 that i copied over. Then just booted up the ch 1-3, and those save files were there to load and continue from. This should also be easily doable on Android, you just have to find the games folder/files.
Can't argue there. I, myself, barely know some of the basics, i.e., C++, Java, html, and such. So definitely can't be mad there.
Yes, I know all about that to get them working on the Steam Deck. The itch app downloads them fine, and you use proton to run them in Game Mode. However, when it comes to 3rd party files ,i.e., Mega, dropbox, etc., the app won't download the files and redirects you to the 3rd party site, and the browser is limited(whether Chrome or Firefox) on download storage. I've tried games from 1.7GB to about 2.4 GB, and it always errors out about 80% of the way through regarding the browser download limit. I even changed download path thinking it was an internal storage issue, cleared history and cookies, all that fun stuff, but nothing helped. Now this could just be a lack of knowledge on my end, and there may be a work-around I don't know of, but I haven't seen any videos or anything regarding it, so far. So currently it seems impossible to download the game files from 3rd party sources on the Steam Deck. I'm all ears for possible solutions if anyone figures something out, though.
Also, thanks for the prompt reply.
I really don't want to sound rude, but any chance of a proofreading/rescript on the text? I imagine English isn't your first language, which is perfectly fine - no judgement here. However, I've just made it passed the intro and photoshoot and.... I can't continue. It's literally giving me a headache. So just wanted to ask, so it will be easier for me to play in the future if the grammar and English get fixed. Your English in your replies to comments seems great, so what happened there, if you don't mind me asking? It seems like it will be a great game once I can understand it. The artwork looks fabulous. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I also commented a few weeks ago about being willing to help in this aspect. I just played it for the first time today, though.
I am... Lol. I tried switching it up, though, like, "let's do some new drugsssss!" and such. Lol. The first time was for me, the others I tried getting what I thought were responsible Ishani answers. Lol. I actually prob tried that test like 7 times.
Thanks for the replies, too. This game is one of my top fave's so far. 10/10 just for the humor alone. I've laughed out loud countless times. Excited for Pandora's entrance, too.
Lol. I'm a completionist, so it was something I noticed.
Ohhh. That's good to know. I'll make use of that in the next update.
Yeah, I got Alina, so I saved and reloaded to try again, got Zara, then Elsie, and then gave up. Lol. Too much time.
One additional thing I thought of is the scene gallery. After the update the first 3 pages, basically, are missing up until I loaded and continued after updating. I'm assuming that's probably another folder transfer I need to do, though. Just remembered this, so haven't checked, yet.
So it works fine in Game Mode now. One thing I've noticed is my saves while in the laptop are iffy. For example, I'll save after having all my conversations and before I do the puzzles, but if I load that save, half to all of those conversations haven't been messaged, yet I'll still have the photos from them. I don't even know if I'm supposed to be able to save while in the laptop, but the start button on the Steam Deck brings it up.
(*BUG*) I also noticed Gigi's bhole pic wouldn't stay in the photo album until I went into the messages with her 2(I think) days later.
Besides these issues, Days 1-17 have been phenomenal. This game makes me laugh so much. I love it. Besides choosing between the sisters, lol. Can't wait for the next update.
I think I just fixed my issue. The saved files were in a folder listed as 'StrandedInSpace-1.75-pc/'. The update created a new base folder listed as 'StrandedInSpace-1.81-pc/'. So I copied over my save files, loaded the game, and saw my saves. Yay. I then removed the old game file from Steam, and added the new one, and it's opening from my new protonGE 8.6 and my saves are there(I previously removed 8.4 and installed 8.6 when troubleshooting). Now to test if it works in Game Mode. Will inform of results.
I've been playing this game on my Steam Deck inside Steam game mode using proton GE 8.4 and all was going well. I got to the point of Nemy pm'ing me on the laptop about kissing me a night or two before and feeling bad about cheating on her husband. After the conversation ended, I would get an error message/page, and not the typical rollback page; an actual error page of everything not loading. I would have to forceclose the game and reload my save. Did this about 4 times, but couldn't get passed the conversation/error page(I assume it would be a transition into talking with Paige). Then I tried changing the proton version a bunch, wouldn't load the game. Finally I went to desktop mode and got onto my itch app. It showed there was an update from a week ago. So I thought I'd update it and hopefully that would help. Nope. I went into game mode after the update and the game wouldn't load at all, even with the original setting of protonGE 8.4. The game opens fine in desktop mode, but I have 0 of my saves. This would be an okay alternative - as inconvenient as it is -, but I don't have my saved files... Any one else come across this issue, or might know of a fix? I really loved this game, but I don't want to start over. Any help is greatly appreciated.
