Why not add a cooldown for melee? A bit like in Minceraft with the Axe. Like that, there will not melee spammer anymore ^^.
most of them have cooldowns mainly the big weapons the small ones don't
and this is because the big ones do more dmg just imagine having to wait 2s to attack with smth that only does 1 dmg
