reset save in the main menu, and choose player stats. You will lose all the items on you though... if you had any unique items you want to recover, you will have to make a new save to fetch them and put them in the mailbox at your front door, then save, then take them out in your normal game. Sandbox doesn't work for the mailbox so don't waste your time there.
I'd also recommend changing the save interval to something longer, the game has a habit of saving at bad times otherwise because it saves ridiculously often.
