Will this story go into any deep topics, like ethics, philosophy, or anything? I wonder if it will be a subversion of the tropes of the older magical girl things, there are a lot of cliches, so that means there are many things that could or could not be subverted...either way, I def will get this game once it's purchasable on steam.

Some routes do discuss ethics and morality, particularly Alex who is otherwise a pacifist and deeply dislikes fighting. I wouldn't necessarily describe the story as a subversion, but there are some deeper topics that get discussed and and the magic does tie in symbolically into different themes in each route
