This is an interesting little exercise.  It really makes you appreciate the ability to "wait" for your enemies to move.  I did notice a bug where the map quits rendering if you go far enough down the screen (on the Windows version), but otherwise it is a solid little, frustrating puzzler.

This is a great start on a technical level and I hope you continue building your engine into a full blown roguelike.  I also really enjoy the Dev Log entries.  I'm glad you quit lurking on the fringes and ascended with a completed 7DRL!

Thanks.  Now that I have a solid foundation, I hope to start adding some new features rapidly.  The windows bug is vexing me though.  Other people have noticed but I personally can't reproduce it.  Are you running the game from a cmd.exe prompt or the Windows Terminal app?  I suspect differences between the two might be the problem.

I was using the Windows app, the dcba - 1.2 Final 7DRL version for Windows on the game page.

Hope that helps you out.
