I have been loving this game over the past few days.

Question: How do you handle tournaments? Are there special rules or anything like that or are they player designed?

Example: For the fishing tournament day, how do the rules around "biggest fish" work?

My recommendation would be to use the promise system! Make a Promise to participate in the tournament, make moves to mark progress, and then Reap the Benefits to see how well you performed. You could also use oracles to see how other villagers did in the tournament. I hope this helps! 🙇‍♀️
