This whole thing did start with the arm tattoos associating me back to the tattoos that FTMs get to cover bottom surgery scars, but I do agree that without a specific backstory this doesn't really make sense how he was able to get it while going to collage without familial support. And I totally get the feeling that it would kinda be queerbait-y, so you absolutely don't need to do things like that if this is how you think it's gonna end up, I was just making a suggestion that you have every right not to take.
