atm, itch.io takes a large portion of one time sales, which makes it hard for us to profit off of that sort of model. plus, folks would be pissed if we were charging a market price for the full game while the game is still incomplete. the monthly system is our compromise, and keeps us able to work full time while in development, rather than as a side project. if we do make a finished game, at that point we will pivot to direct sales, but we have little to no idea of how that system works quite yet :p
