Windows Defender doesn't like the file, and honestly I've had enough run-ins with malware off of itch (one, that was enough) from .exe files that I can't be assed to do the legwork on figuring out if this is a false positive

It does that on mine as well. I believe it is a false message. I have uploaded 4 games now and have a YouTube channel show casing the games I upload. I also have a Patreon where I post updates for the games as well. If you have any other questions or concerns let me know so I can take a look at them.
